In progress. Mixing watercolor and ink and just experimenting.
The adventure in watercolors continues. I hadn’t attempted working in watercolor since I was in high school. This winter felt like the right time. My best friend manages an art supply store, and he set me up with everything as a Christmas gift. My design work is creative, but it’s work. Painting is just to make me happy.
Starting the new year with returning to something I haven’t done in years: watercolor

Design in progress: I’m playing with gradient yarn and mosaic knitting. On a deadline, so I hope to share the pattern with all of you later this month.

From sketch, to knit, to at last, an edited pattern: “Strutting Around” is now available for download from Ravelry. If that peacock feather looks familiar, it should. I used this design to test out my feather chart to see if I liked it. Turns out I did and I wound up using it for “Proud As A Peacock”. Because the capelet was a mass-produced pattern for a shop hop, I didn’t want to scare people off with brioche plus stranding. I did keep it for the cap.

“High Tea” has just been added to Ravelry! This yummy cowl takes its name from the two colors used – Earl Grey and Darjeeling. Both are from the lovely British yarn company, Mrs. Moon. You can download the pattern HERE.
