Unpoetic Rant
Once, my father said to me, "you were born nervous". And that made me squint a little at him, for he's Mr. Nervous Nelly himself. But I took a moment that day to reflect on my life. I realised how right he is and how I've become more like him than I've ever expected. Now, as we all know, in life it isn't popular to receive advise and follow it. No one comes to you at any point to successfully ensure you that everything will work out. Some people exist that can live with the fact that life is unknown and patience is a virtue. Not I! Since day 1, stressful situations consumed my days until they were finished. I'm also not the type of person to sit there and listen to other people's experiences. The words and choices of loved ones will not veer my decisions what so ever. I will always have to learn by my own mistakes. But, thank God for that because at times people are flat out wrong and I would rather do or die than do and wonder. I guess that's what I've been nervous 90% of my life... Anyway, if I could travel to my younger self and explain that's stressing accomplishes nothing (and I should just enjoy the view of this ride called life) I would have aged a lot less quickly. Bottom line of this unpoetic thought bubble...I am finally learning for myself that the anxiety which made a home for itself in my heart isn't helpful. Yes, it is real. Yes, I can't deny I feel it. But, it is not helpful. Mistakes are going to happen and bad choices will be made. But for God's sake, as far as we know Scientifically speaking.... This life you're living, there is only record of one person living once until death. Do not waste all your time allowing anxiety and depression to eat you alive. There's 1 million reasons to suffer and 1 million reasons to smile. Pick and choose the life choices that give you life. Not the choices that shorten it. J. Kimson

how could one not believe in love?
but believe in hate, hunger, and dread...
feelings exist weather they push or pull,
weather they help or hurt.
you can not sweep one without revealing the other.
taking the waves and the calm is all insulated in the choice of life
the choice to live and enjoy
