Greetings Rocky J Hiker. Life has been busy at my HQ, in fact I have moved to Colac from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The Journey stick project still continues. I will do the administration in the next few days. Execute your handover ceremony. We will see if the journey is too continue. Lerderderg sounds like a good drop off point. Best of luck overseas, you have been a worthy custodian.
After being denied an entry pass into the forbidden kingdom of Queensland, journey stick celebrated the New Year on a high note closer to home. The journey sticks new year resolution is to find a new steward. Keep an eye out for clues when and where.
2021 Wrap Up
We are drawing the strings of closure for Journey Stick #24. @rockyjhiker has been an outstanding custodian, taking the stick to far flung and local places in these pandemic years. The Order of Walkers look forward to new adventures in 2022. Get the perspective on the google earth project page here
Journey Stick #24 got high - on the Australian Alps that is! This picture was taken at the start of a 4 day wander around the Bogong High Plains staying at Tawonga Huts, Dibbin Hut, and Ryders Yard.

Greetings Venerable Provost. I noticed that you have not posted my last two updates. I’m concerned and hope that you are well and at the helm. I’m planning on traveling to New Zealand in January to hike the Southern Alps. Unlikely to get the stick over but hoping to visit Wilson’s Prom beforehand for a hand over. I will honor the purpose of the stick and your vision. I sincerely wish you well and look forward to hearing back from you on the repair drop. Steward #1

Thankyou for your concerns. All is well in my humble parish my only response is that I have been lax in admin. I will rectify that issue tonight. Lockdowns have been tough for wanderers in the order of walkers but I have indeed been plotting brand new excursions and micro adventures when the starters gun rings over these southern skies.
You have been a worthy inaugural steward for the journey stick and I think a Wilsons prom drop would be an ideal place for the vision to carry on. Bravo. I might say I am somewhat envious of your journey to the land of of the long white cloud. Go well with your adventures over there.
On the issue of the stick stopper I think I will do a drop this sunday. I will look at your posts and pick one of those places to drop the stopper. If there is one you would prefer me to leave it at then ping me here. I will then let you know when the “eagle has landed”
