OOC; FOR THE ATTENTION OF EVERYONE.

It really does sadden me to say this, but I really am struggling to find the time to be able to roleplay these days. With a fiancé, a house to keep up with, family time, and a job that keeps me busy day and night, roleplay needs to take a back burner in my life. I think it's taken me a long time but, I'm not 15 years old anymore when I first started this. I'm in my middle 20s now! I guess I used roleplay as an escape which I no longer need to do. What I'm trying to say is.. Jude will no longer be around to cause mischief anymore. It's been great but it's time to focus on my life OOC now..

This afternoon the cafe had seen sturdy business, swept off her feet for moments, but then left to observe for others. It was then she noticed him, the pale brunette stood out to her,  the way he intently watched the screen before him. She’d had a mind to ask what was so engrossing that he had barely blinked, but she had better manners than that. Delaney approached the gentleman, coffee jug in hand. She smiled when he offered her a seat, but she was still very much on the clock and didn’t want to get in trouble. “I actually just wanted to see if you wanted a refill?” Staring at him for a second, her intrigue getting the better of her she turned back to see her boss was nowhere to be seen, and so she took a seat. “What you studying?” 

A refill? How kind. “Sure.” Jude answered, lifting his coffee mug up so the girl could top up his hot drink, a smile forming onto his lips as he brought his mug back down, and sipped quickly at the hot liquid. Shit.. That burnt his lower lip a little. Jude was honestly expecting the girl to move on, though she did take a seat opposite him, looking very interested. “Oh! Um.. Just learning more in my field of work. I don’t think you can ever learn enough, you know? I’m a Doctor, newly qualified.” Please, more like, never studied, never qualified, is in fact a huge lie. “But.. I think I deserve this coffee break with a beautiful young lady.” Jude charmed.

She set the device on her crossed leg, unlocking it and swiping through to the art collection she was hoping to exhibit. As she sipped at her coffee, she could hear the man across from her talking; only snippets of the words coming through. She frowned curiously then, looking up and over at him. “Essay?” She started suddenly. “Are you in college then?” She asked, frowning a little as she looked him over more closely. He did not look like a college kid.

Her lips pressed together, taking the man in for a moment, before slowly morphing into a polite smile. “Jude,” she repeated his name back. “Nice to meet you. I’m Safina,” she greeted, an eyebrow raising. He seemed nice enough. She shook her head though, at his question. “Not at all,” she replied. “I was just coming back from a meeting. This is my first time here,” she explained, bringing her coffee to her lips and taking a long sip.

“No no.. Not college.” Jude couldn’t help but to chuckle. How old did she think he was? “I enrolled onto a uh.. open university course. You do everything you need to online, submit essays, have someone mark your work... all that, fun stuff. I just want to learn more in my field of work, you know? So it doesn’t seem like too much of a chore for me.” He noted the girls name, giving his head a nod as a form of response, and flashed Safina another smile. “Oh.. I see. Business lady? What do you think of the coffee here?” Jude asked.. Oh so poor at small talk. “I’m just asking because.. Like I said, scouting for the best coffee house.”

diane was waiting for a table as she skimmed through her emails on her phone, tapping her foot against the hardwood floor, she didn’t even notice the young man at the table next to her until she heard his voice. “studying or not, i don’t care, dear.” she replied, her voice monotone. “but i have to say, you’re not very good at hiding things if you think people are going to believe you’re actually doing what you say you are. it’s a dead giveaway.”

“Excuse me?” Jude blinked, meeting his gaze with the other as she spoke. “Someone’s not very trusting? Had someone lie to you in the past?” He asked, curiously. This meant that Jude had to watch where he stepped, right? This women was obviously onto him. Or was she? “I was actually trying to find some more research about someone who I’m talking with online, because I’m sure she isn’t the real deal. Okay, I suppose you had me. I’m new to this whole online dating thing.. You ever tried it?”

Still tired after a long shift the night before, Zamira had decided to grab another coffee after a little walk through the city. Something she always needed after waking up. But when she had entered one of her favorite cafes, there weren’t many chairs that were still free. So when the girl finally got her coffee, she headed towards the closest one of them. “Chill dude, I’m not trying to have a look at your porn or whatever you’ve been doing there..”, she replied with slightly raised eyebrows, when the man at the table quickly closed his laptop, “Just want a place to drink my coffee!”

“A man has needs, right?” Jude responded with a grin, before laughing and shaking his head at his appropriate comments. “I apologise, that was wrong of me. But.. definitely wasn’t watching porn. More like... Looking for a companion.” Ugh, what sort of lie is that? “Have you tried these dating sites? I’m one hundred and ten percent sure that I’m being catfished right now. Actually, that’s what I was doing.. Researching the chick I’m talking to.” Smoothly done. “But, the internet failed me. I’m Jude, by the way.” He quickly introduced himself, before picking up his coffee and taking a few small sips. Why did these drinks always take an age to cool down?

Elias followed the voice to the younger man behind him, and, being who he was as a person, he gave the guy a very slow once over, tongue in cheek before he turned on an all too charming grin and nodding slowly, “well, sucking dick is rarely ever a last resort for me, so I can’t really pretend like its a moral sacrifice just so I can get coffee.” he said with laughter in his voice, sticking his hands in his pockets, and it was true, sucking dick was low on his scale of morally ambiguous things to do for something he wanted.  “But I’d also do a lot of other probably less socially acceptable things for a cup of coffee at this point.”

“Fair play to you, man. Whatever floats your boat, you know?” Jude answered with a nod. The line was still yet to move forward, other customers were also starting to become restless and bored. Who honestly thought it was a good idea to open one cashier point during the morning rush hour? “Like I said, I’d suck a dick for coffee at this moment in time. I uh.. suffer with insomnia, so I only gained thirty minutes of sleep last night.. and now.. I have to work a very long day.” The dark circles beneath his eyes were probably a clear indicator of that. “What’s the next best coffee joint around here? I have fifteen minutes before I need to be where I... need to be.”

Rosette eyed him curiously and seemed to take his lie looking sad. “That’s sad, I was blessed with my parents and grandparents. I was pretty innocent until I met Elias and he corrupted me a bit. Nic mellowed me out and Brenton makes me feel alive again. I hope things go well with Lana. I agree that she’s stunning, if she liked women I might fall for her but she’s a good friend.” She finished her water and twirled to face him. “What was this mystery woman’s name?” She asked.

“That’s life.. It always has funny plans.” Jude concluded with a shrug, and continued to listen to Rosette talk about her ex partners, all who seemed to have an influence somewhere. “At least they were all different experiences, am I right? You’re allowed to.. cut loose. You don’t want to be with someone whose manipulating, do you?” Manipulating, Ha. Good one Jude. “But I’d be all over you and Lana.. If that was ever the case.” He honestly hated when Rose continued to ask about his past history.. There were only so many lies that one person can keep up with. “Uh, Mandy.” Jude answered with another lie. “But like I said, it’s something that’s long ended.”

“I do have a picture, it’s from my birthday.” She searched her pictures and showed a great picture of both her and Lana. They were both smiling and posing. She looked at him and stuck her tongue out. “No you do, I’ve heard nothing of your family and growing up. Also you haven’t had sex in 12 years. How’s that possible?” She smiled and laughed “you make me curious. I only know so much but I wanna know more.” She rested her hand on his.

Leaning in, Jude glanced at the photo of both Rose and Lana, nodding his head approvingly. The girl who Rosette would be setting him up with, was beautiful. “Wow.. You definitely weren’t holding back, were you? Lana is stunning. You look good too..” He complimented, pushing himself back into his seat again as he turned his attention back towards his friend. “Well, I don’t know what to tell you. I was adopted.. and um.. Never really knew of my birth parents. As for sex, that’s solely the truth. I spend a lot of time indoors.. I was studying  my doctor’s degree and.. put all my energy into that. I didn’t have time to go out and meet women.” Lies, lies and more lies. Well, truth was, he hadn’t looked at anyone else since Beatrice. “Porn is on the internet for a reason, Rose.”

Rosette nodded and smiled. “I’m excited for your date with Lana.” She said changing the topic and trying to forget this feeling. She felt comfortable and safe with him. That he listened and she was attracted to him. She was trying to set Lana up for God’s sake. She looked him over. “I’m curious to your secrets.” She admitted.

And there it was.. Subject changed, but that was fine. Obviously Rosette was done talking about herself and Brenton, but Jude hoped he’d given her something to reflect on. “Speaking of, do you have a picture? Or is this a blind date sort of thing?” He asked, smiling. Now he started to feel excited about it all.. or was that just his body excited for something else? “Secrets?” Jude spat with laughter. “Wow um.. Okay. That’s a new one. What makes you think I have secrets?” He asked, fairly intrigued. Had he given anything away? “What you see, is what you get. That’s my secret.” Jude lied.

She shook her head no. “He’s been working on his music. So I haven’t wanted to disturb him and be clingy.” She said still drinking her water. She noticed he had said something he hadn’t before and she smiled. “It’s good to have someone you can be frisky with. What happened to her?” She asked gently looking over to him. She was always curious about Jude.

“So I’m going to assume he’s been a little distant due to work commitments? Isn’t that natural sometimes?” Jude queried, but what did he know about relationships? “Maybe he needs to make more time for you? A relationship is a two way street, you know.” He knew he should have kept his mouth shut, though for some reason, his words just fell out.. Rosette was actually really easy to talk to.  “Nothing.. She might have found someone? I don’t know.. I was young, she wasn’t. It was just fun anyway..”

“Nick and Elias are both exes, I’m talking about Brenton but you’re right I should talk to him.” She nodded trying to not picture what it’d be like with Jude and Brenton. Too late it was a great idea. She drank water and sat up. “I learned a lot from Elias to be honest.” She admitted lightly.

“Oh! Of course.. Right, Brenton.” Jude nodded. Gosh, he couldn’t keep up and now his focus was elsewhere. Stop it, Nathan, relax. “Learning from your exes isn’t a bad thing.. My ex, well.. She was more of a.. chick who I would go to when I was feeling frisky. She had her own business so, was super busy with that.” Hold up, was Jude opening up? Now that, had to stop. “It doesn’t matter. What does, though, is your relationship with Brent. Will he be home when you get there?” He asked. “I know it’s late but.. I feel like you need to get this out into the open with him.”

“He hasn’t said anything but what if he gets bored of me?” Rosette asked looking worried, “I used to be fun, a lot of fun and then Nic made me grow up. Elias taught me to let loose and Nic hated that about me.” She frowned realizing she missed having fun. “What if he doesn’t wanna try new things?” She asked softly. “I used to have threesomes and foursomes.”

“I think.. maybe you need to have this conversation with him, don’t you think? It sounds like you’re insecure about something, Rose.” I guess all Jude could do was advise her, right? “I mean, Nic is your ex, am I right? You need to try and forget about him and focus on what you have now, which is Elias. As for the bedroom stuff.. That’s for you both to discuss.” But oh my god, the thought of a threesome with Rosette and her other half had Jude’s mind going into over drive... but no, stop. Stop thinking about. Sex on the mind is not going to help right now.

“To be honest I don’t wanna go home. I wanna talk more.” She spoke pouting and smiling. “I am pretty smitten but what if he decides I’m not good enough. He could have anyone he wants.” Rose rested her head on his shoulder. “It eats me alive Jude.” She murmured lightly.

Did this just turn into a heart to heart conversation? Okay. Jude would be there to listen. In fact, he’d to anything for anyone - quite literally. “Has he given any incline about that?” He asked, curious. No-one would just say something like that, right? There had to be a reason behind Rosette’s words. “I mean, you’re a nice enough girl.. He should count himself lucky, Rose.” Jude could feel himself sobering up, the glass of water had definitely helped, but now he felt the need to be there for his friend too.

Rosette held her breath and the hiccups stopped. She was looking over at Jude with a curious glance. “You haven’t had sex since you were 18?” She repeated her eyes widening. “I can’t say much I just had sex again since March. With a younger guy.” She said smiling a little. “It felt nice to be with someone again.” She admitted.

Jude shook his head. For once, he was being honest... probably the only thing he could be truthful about. “Nope. So maybe this double date thing isn’t a bad idea, right? I’ve forgotten what sex feels like altogether.” It was nice that Rosette had found someone, but it kind of made Jude feel a little jealous, and he couldn’t help but to roll his eyes at her. “You must be smitten.. You’ve mentioned this guy a few times now. It must be nice.” Of course it was nice. “Maybe we should think about getting you home, though? I think the hiccups were a clear sign.”

Rosette beamed at him finishing her drink and smiling. “That’s all I ask for. Thank you Jude.” She said with a slur of words. She was ordering a glass of water and poked him lightly. “I’m very persuasive when I wanna be.” She teased getting the hiccups. Covering her mouth she hiccuped again. “I think you need to scare me.” She said lightly.

Oh man, Rose’s glass of water looked so good. Jude followed her lead, and ordered a glass of his own, drinking the cool liquid quickly when it arrived. This should help to sober him up a little. His head was spinning. “I mean, sure. I guess the thought of getting lucky plays into it too.. You know.. I haven’t been with a girl since I was eighteen. Believe me or not.. It’s true. I just haven’t found the time to mingle.” Because you were too busy murdering your step-father, Nathan. “Is that too personal? Shit. I think I’ve overstepped the drinking tonight.” He laughed, bringing a hand up to meet with Rose’s back as she started to hiccup, and rubbed gently. “Hold your breath? I don’t think I could scare you.”

It’s not the fact that the other seemed to be extremely focused on whatever caught their eyes on that screen, but rather their reaction when Callum approaches to take a sit on the same table in a busy library, twitching one of his eyebrows for the reaction he got.  “Ehm, ‘you sure?” He asks out of politeness, but he’s already pulling the chair back to take the seat. “Well ‘m sorry if I took you out of your zone, the library is full.” Callum quickly gestures to signal his background, eyes steady on him, his reaction didn’t seem natural at all.

“Yeah man, it’s cool.” Jude nodded as the other questioned him, though it was apparent that the other had already made the decision to join him. “I was just proof reading an essay I’ve been writing. It’s probably best that I take a short break anyway, give the eyes a rest, you know?” He shot the male a smile, sipping at the hot liquid in the Starbucks cup, his orbs noting his surroundings. It had become really busy in here.. Damn. How long had he been studying this news page? “I obviously haven’t looked up for a while. It was near on empty when I walked in here.”

It hadn’t even crossed his mind to ask what’s going on with the guy’s tensed vibe. All Louis wanted was to get off his feet and enjoy the cupcake and latte he just bought. So, when the stranger decided to explain a question he hadn’t asked, Louis just quirked a brow as he settled into the seat across the other. “It finals or something?” It couldn’t have been since it was January, but that was besides the point. 

“Uhh yeah, sure. Finals.” Jude replied with a simple nod. Let’s be honest, he’d never really studied, the whole thing was false. Anyone could talk about their profession and act on something, but physically being there and doing it, is another matter. Had anyone actually seen Jude working? Come on. “But it’s cool man, you know?” Shady as fuck. Men were a lot harder to win over then women. Jude could just use his charm to brush anything off, but the other sat before him didn’t look too impressed.
