Literally only 90s kids remember this. Any adults in the 90s had no idea what the fuck these were. That’s why so many adults died due to heat strokes while they were in their cars in the 90s. They had no idea how car windows function. This post is dedicated to all those who lost loved ones due to the incompetency of automobile manufacturers who thought it was a good idea to make a hand crank that only people born the 90s could see.
me: You know the violence that we put upon each other is very detrimental to our progression as human beings. We should learn to turn the other cheek more rather than use fisticuffs.

STUFF TO NOT EVER DO: tell a person with depression/anxiety/eating disorder that their illness makes YOU suffer never ever do this please this is the worst fucking thing you could ever tell someone who is sick
I got anon hate for this post, keep reblogging it
I’m suffering.
Wow, I had no idea Satan was so knowledgeable and generous with his time.

Can satan come teach a class at my school
Amusingly, among the Western European demon-conjuring cults of the 16th Century, many demons were greatly valued for their skill as teachers, often to the point that grimoires would place greater emphasis on the subjects each demon was qualified to teach than on their supernatural powers.
For example, this guy?
Teaches moral philosophy.
And this creepy dude?
He’s your astronomy professor.
Seriously, look this stuff up some time - it’s wild.
I now want a comic or cartoon series about demon teachers and their human students. Not sure if it should be college or high school.
“Aw, man - I got Professor Lionwheel. I hear if you fail his exams, he eats your legs.”
“Yeah, but he’s supposed to be really good about keeping regular office hours.”
“Huh. Sort of a trade-off, really.”
The thing is, rapists absolutely need one thing to operate. They need people to believe they are not rapists. Stranger rapists do that by trying to hide that they are the person who committed the rape. Acquaintance rapists do that by picking targets who won’t say anything about what happened, or by using tactics that, if the survivor does speak up, people will decide don’t really count as rape. If you want to do something about rapists, make sure people know they are rapists.
How to Stop Rape Right Now (via closet-keys)
don’t force people to talk about their tramua. don’t force people to confront things that traumatized them. idc if it would “make things better for them,” because they are one who decide that. not you. don’t try fixing people’s problems to feel better about yourself.
if you are not someone’s therapist, caretaker, etc. you don’t get a say in how they chose to recover from whatever happened to them until they start hurting themselves or other people.
don’t force anyone to do anything with their tramua they feel unsafe doing. you’ll end up doing more harm than good.
shoutout to the people who still have to interact with their abusers
shoutout to people who can’t live without their abusers, either because of dependency issues or out of fear
shoutout to people who were abused by someone popular and therefore see their abuser in more places than they can handle sometimes
shoutout to people who were abused and have never come out as a victim out of fear
all of you, every single one of you, is very strong and deserves so much better. you deserve safety, love and a safe haven where you can recover from your abuse. you don’t deserve any of this and it isn’t your fault.
hey did u know mentally ill people are less likely to be abusive and more likely to be abused
did you know most mental illness comes from abuse
did you know assuming mentally ill people are abusive because they can’t control their actions is wrong and ableist
Reminder that you do not need to be experiencing frequent vivid flashbacks or nightmares of trauma to have post traumatic stress disorder. There are a plethora of other symptoms, such as dissociation, frightening thoughts, memory loss, trouble concentrating, depression, and hyper-arousal. If you’ve experienced a traumatic event but don’t have flashbacks, and because of this you’ve ruled PTSD out, please research PTSD anyway.
Shout out to mentally ill people who will never recover, and the ones who can’t help but tense up when the subject comes up.
Shout out to people for whom ‘recovery’ is a temporary state, or a chance to breathe between episodes.
To those of us who’ve felt the word lose meaning over periods of years and decades, and those for whom it’s never held any in the first place.
And to all of us for whom the idea of *not* being mentally ill is so foreign as to be unimaginable.
Our value as individuals is not dependent on our ability to recover. We are enough as is.
shout to the mentally ill people who have unattractive symptoms like a need to fight with other people, obsessing over others, having low self awareness, being easily addicted, being unable to take criticism and being hypersexual. Your suffering is still valid and you’re still loved. You’re still worth worth something.
