Fairy Dating Advice
Cute gift idea: A royal title.
Ah! Tis the Feast of St. Valentine...
As I am most generous, I permit you to avail of my council upon this merry day! I shall happily advise you regarding matters of courtship. As you know, I am as accomplished in romance as I am in battle. However, if you are too timid to come to me with your questions and curiosities, you need only look to all of the wisdom I have lent to date that has been signed with #FairyDatingAdvice... And, if you are so moved, you may - as you mortals say - sext me in iambic pentameter, should you happen to suspect you have the wit and way with words to woo me!

…and I love, in the old—in the ancient way, through and through…

The wine of her loveliness went to his head.

My Lord! I have not seen you grace my screen for a while! I am certainly glad to look upon your eloquent posts once again! I was wondering: Do you have a labyrinth in your palace gardens? I, myself, am quite fond of labyrinths, but have not seen one in your marvellous gardens on the walks I took at your party. If you do have a labyrinth, may I be permitted to see it? If it is a private labyrinth, I will of course not dare to impose on your lordship.
How well-mannered you are, Sleeping Reader! How could I possibly deny my labyrinth so polite a visitor as yourself? And I do, indeed, have one - as any king ought to! Tis most marvelous! It stands at the southernmost stretches of my gardens - I suspect you ventured northward during your evening wanderings! - beyond the line fountains and the grove of orange trees. It has hedges so high as to obscure noontime sun and corridors so grand and long that the wind sighs deeply whilst passing through them! It is surely the grandest labyrinth of all - despite what certain, envious princes might say! - bearing no rivals aside from that which grows in The Garden of Eden. If none of my court has spoken of it, it is only because they have happened upon secrets there in its shadows that would sear their mouths were they to confess them. Ah! and it is such a sight in winter! Indeed! it would come as no surprise to me that you would never want to leave! Some that have gone before you have been made such a wish, I shall have you know, and my labyrinth has been all too happy to grant it and keep them!
Your highness, you do me great honor by paying a visit to my humble and irreverent corner of this realm! I must admit I am fairly charmed indeed by your own illustrious court; a very fine reflection of its glittering regent.
Fairly charmed? And not wholly? Tut tut! I should think that my court is the most charming of all! Why! you must not have observed it in full. No doubt that is the trouble! Do attend our revels tonight, Swagabod Crane, I would remedy your opinion! You must see sisters my with winter roses in their hair. You must see the swords at the sides of my generals gleam by candlelight. You must taste a drop of mead made with honey gathered by Judas Iscariot and look again upon the whole of the assembly. I would see you charmed utterly!
Oh, my King, it gives me such happiness that at last you have laid your eyes upon me! I have been your ardent admirer for years!
Ah! but you have exquisite tastes, Decomposion! How could I possibly neglect to take notice of one so polite who curates fine portraits of noble beauties and the like? It comes as no surprise to me that one such as yourself, who exalts all things lovely and esteemed, would be among my many admirers. And you ought to consider yourself cordially invited to my house! I have no doubt that you would give my cousins, courtiers, and sisters the respect they are due.
