i’m back (along with everyone else)

like everyone else, i thought i would check out tumblr again even though i haven’t posted anything since june 2017 and haven’t posted regularly since probably 2016 or so. i always thought tumblr was a cool space for sharing photos and stuff and was sad to see it kinda fizzle out.

thought briefly about remaking instead of just reviving the old blog because there’s a lot of old (and embarrassing) posts here, but that felt like too much effort for something that i’m not even sure i’ll keep up with.

right now, i’m working on updating the blog appearance and my following list. wild how much about myself has changed in the 6 years since i was last really active on here.

ideally, i’d like to have this space to post my photos and some longer form posts about my experiences, especially in medicine. we’ll see how it goes, i guess!

I didn't lose my mind trying to track down the Midnight Mocha frap due to manufactured exclusivity to drum up business (thanks Starbucks), so it begs the question: Is this frap really, truly Instagram appropriate fodder then? 🤔

Okay, but I had to go to like, 3 Starbucks over this past week to finally get a unicorn frap, and I'm not proud of how excited I was to get this, but I thought it was actually kinda tasty so whatever, I guess.

We ended our day at Legal Seafoods in Copley Place. I spent far too much money and ordered spicy calamari (decent, tasted like hot curly fries?), tuna steak (so forgettable, I didn't bother to Instagram it), and Boston creme pie (the only good part tbh). Andrew ordered the cioppino, which was not only pretty but was quite tasty 🦑🦐🐟 (at Legal Sea Foods)

First day in Boston: 🍻🍻🍻 We went on a Sam Adams brewery tour and then ended up at Doyle's Cafe, a famous Irish pub in Jamaica Plain 🍻🍻🍻 (at Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts)

Bath Bomb Give Away Contest for Reproductive Justice

I have decided to hold a giveaway contest in honor of my 2017 National Abortion Access Bowl-a-thon team, the Caring Cryptid Corps. I could not have asked for a better group of creepy companions to join with to raise money for Virginia’s private all-volunteer abortion fund, the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project. I am so proud to be working with you all to support abortion access in Virginia.

Here’s how it works: everybody who reblogs this post by the end of Friday, March 31st will have their username entered into a hat. I will draw three winners. Each winner will receive 4 sets of bath bomb: Swamp Thing, a green bath bomb with a cedarwood and sage scent (left), Mothman Eyes, a purple bergamont bath bomb (right), and two scents yet to be unveiled.

The rules:

1. You must be willing to provide a shipping address (if you don’t respond to a request for your address by April 7th, a new winner will be selected). There’s no restriction on where I’ll ship to.

2. You must reblog by 11:59pm, Eastern Standard Time, on Friday, March 31st 2017. Likes don’t count- only reblogs will get your username in the hat!
