Im keeping the underdrawing and the mistakes because they make the piece. The piece is more than polish. Its work. The mistakes make the shape. There's empty space. There's hard edges. But it is a piece. It’s unique. And while you can look at it and see places where you can fill in gaps or smooth rough sides, it works, and i wouldn't throw it aside for the world. If the reports are true, Cornell took his own life and while I’m not sure why (maybe i’ll never know?), It’s such a sad loss on so many levels. The voice. The influence. Just a nice guy. But no one knows what its like. No One knows unless you've gone through it or are currently going through it. If you are going through it, if this is where you find yourself, find someone you trust and tell them please. Scream it at them at 2am on the phone. Write it down and mail them a letter with the promise to vent later. Text them. DON'T keep it inside. It’s sad that when someone as high profile as Cornell pass, that's when we talk about this but it affords the opportunity to talk. Or scream. Or whisper. Or text.
