I am perpetually stuck in the 80s and 90s, heh. I love the art, fashion, architectural design, and some music from these times. I often ramble about nostalgic stuff oops
Lady Hibiscus the character
The mermaid herself is my OC. Hibbie is territorial in the ocean and calls some undersea ruins her home. The ruins are so complex and deep that submarines and robots cannot invade them and divers are at high-risk if they attempt to enter them, so Hibbie is safe. Because she is territorial, she will tease and sometimes bully humans that want to play in the ocean. She is also highly annoyed with trash in the ocean and she will throw litter back at people to make a point (even though they never see her). The shore she patrols are considered haunted by the locals and they try to appease "the spirit of the sea" by sending floating baskets of fruit, which Hibbie just LOVES. Especially the oranges. Hibbie isn't the only mermaid and she meets with the others sometimes, usually during the cold season. Hibbie is often suspicious of others, fearless, and rather hard-headed. But, deep down, she enjoys the company of her friends and likes to entertain children (nobody believes them).
