So I thought I could get through this trip without consuming the poison that is matcha. Matcha is so gross. I'm convinced everyone in Australia just pretends to like it to appear cool and alternative. Sorry Tokyo but it's been a couple weeks now and the rose coloured glasses are off. My biggest criticism of this beautiful city has a very simple fix... WHERE ARE YOUR FUCKING SEATS AND BINS! There is not a park bench or a bloody bin in sight. I've had to carry around our breakfast wrappers all day because of this nonsense, and my poor Brent had to eat his doughnut standing up. There is so much street food, but I never see anyone eating... what is happening here? Is there is a reason for this? Why am I the only one eating? I'm not asking for heated toilet seats, just basic human needs like garbage disposal and an appropriate place to rest my ass. Maslows pyramid is totally inverted here and I can't comprehend.(Blog post written while perched on a street bush).

We’re at the most amazing retro gaming plaza in Akihabara where every floor takes you up a generation of gaming. Even the televisions and the decor of the floor resembles the time. Such an awesome concept!

Just saw pirates of the Caribbean in 4D. I think this was the 47th sequel- or at least that was the average age of all the lead actors. I have to admit I didn’t enjoy being jolted around and splashed in the face with water for 2 hours straight. (Why did we chose a movie based around water?! 😑). I now suffer from motion sickness and frizzy hair…
We're in a fight because Brent keeps spending wayyy too long in the toilet- and I know it's because he's just playing with the bidet 😑

Finally the wait is over and we have checked into Hotel Gracery in Shinkuku! No your eyes are not deceiving you - this is an 8 story Godzilla statue 'eating' the building!This place is amazeballs.
