“If somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment, I would do it all over again.”
dina and her dumb horse joke
Think about the good parts to fear. You run faster. You’re more focused. You don’t feel pain as much. Every bad feeling… They’re all signs you’re actually stronger. So when you feel afraid, you should think about how your body is getting ready for what’s coming. Only when weak may I carry my true strength.

FICTIONAL DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION THAT LITERALLY END ME : OTP EDITION PT 2
Pillow talk. The way they lie next to each after a hot make out session. Being so vulnerable, so exposed and naked in every sense of the word. How they openly confide in each other because the lust has died down and it’s more about enhancing emotional intimacy and creating a safe environment.
How their insecurity complex gets the best of them. Being in such close proximity that their body tenses, their eyes falter causing them to look away.
How their “I love yous” aren’t necessarily verbal but sensual.
Ways in which they attempt to impress the other. Trying to act cool and collected when they fail miserably.
Personal boundaries. Wanting so badly to say something in reassurance but the need for space is understood and respected. But still going out of their way to make sure that they’re okay. The way in which they sneak concerned glances here and there.
How they’re the first person that they wake up to in the wake of a traumatic event.
Or how their hands desperately searches for theirs because all they need at that moment is their touch to bring them back to reality.
Going from unbearable silences.
To sitting in comfortable silence where words aren’t necessary, where a gaze at your loved one, a gentle smile or touch speaks more than 100 sentences of nothingness.
Being so comfortable with each other, that you no longer have to worry about awkward silences. There’s no judgement, no worrying about not being interesting enough. It’s knowing that sometimes silence is more comforting than comfortable that it gives the space needed to process, to regroup, to retreat in ones mind, to mourn. Because at that moment just being in each other’s company— clutching each other wordlessly. That is enough.
last of us 2. short story
“There’s no cure because of me. I’m the one that you want.”
Ellie in The Last of Us Part II
Joel said he’s taking me on a camping trip next week for my birthday. He found something he said I’ll love. He’s acting very proud of himself. Smug old fogey.
"In this game she is 19 years old, is in this community where she feels relatively safe and can follow her romantic impulses, can be nervous... To see this incredibly strong and badass girl being vulnerbale, being afraid, being intimidated. Ellie is more nervous and intimidated by Dina than any type of Infected." - Halley Gross
