Even though the Kobold Magier didn't faire too well when I was making a mold for it, @clockwaysarts their cute and round designs inspired me to give it another shot!

This time I'm keeping it fairly simple though, using giant isopods and rollypollies as inspiration.

In 2012, I was working on a story called “Project VirscA”. It involved a space colony crashing into an alien world, where the survivors had to fight off Reptilian overlords with god-like technology. In order to write that story, I made a world map and gave locations their names.

Now 4 years later, I needed a world  to give the creatures of Project Anima (Tronic) a home. So, I grabbed the old Davellir map, polished it up a bit, and now it looks better than ever!

Sure, the geological features are traced from the old map, but I think it looks nice now. I guess I did learn a few things in the past few years!

5 years later, the continent is the place where all the creatures come from that I create for The Life Forge!

During El Mundo Fantasia we introduced a second Plumetail to the world, our white furry friend Whitney! They both had a blast and made a lot of new friends among the visitors. Their other brothers and sisters will be available as artdoll's via our Etsy storefront later this month. 😀

In celebration of the appearance Nox in the teaser trailer for Wakfu’s 3rd season, I decided to dust off these photos taken by Reshift at the Dutch Comic Con earlier this year!

Nox always was one of my favorite villains, mostly because he is such an unknown force of nature with such a sad backstory. I cant wait to see what they`ll do with him in S3.

And here is the process of how we build Jack, the Pumpkin monster!

Jack was made just for Halloween and he is a Mimick type monster which disguised itself as a pumpkin in order to snack on little children’s feet if they would walk past him. Sneaky little bugger! He was featured in our 2016 Halloween give away event on Facebook and now he has a nice homely life with a new family.

I created the bulk of the creature using EVA foam floormats, like the ones used in cosplay armors. Seeing as there was no pattern that I could follow, this was quite a tedious process of trial and error in order to get the rough pumpkin shape in this sturdy material.

Once the main body was made and equipped with nifty finger rings to control the mouth, I grabbed a piece of leftover fabric to figure out how big the tentacles should be and how many Jack should have. These were then remade in faux fur to give the monster a slightly more huggable appearance. After all, a monster isn’t always all slime and goop!

Then I grabbed a good pile of Plastimorph and heated it up, sculpting the 13 teeth to fit in the monsters mouth. These would restore some of Jack’s pride as a ferocious creature, filling his grin with sharp and pointy bits!

I coated the EVA foam body with a few layers of Plastidip and let it dry for a day, after which I painted it with acrylic paints. The teeth were coated with a plastic primer before I painted them, to make sure that the paint wouldn't fall off. Last but not least, I sealed everything with clear non-shiny varnish. 

The fabric tentacles were filled up with plush stuffing and a piece of metal wire to make it posable. Finally I glued the hard and soft body parts together, making sure that everything was neatly finished. 

And that is how we made Jack, the Pumpkin monster! Just 364 more days till next halloween!

The Owlbear cub is a one of a kind (OOAK) design, handmade by us from The Life Forge. They make for a perfect gift for any Dungeons and Dragons fan! Its coat is made of a tan Faux Fur, trimmed to size to give off a natural look. It sits calmly in its synthetic leather shell, which makes him easy to handle and hard to break. The beak is hand molded from thermoplastic and the eyes are storebought safety eyes. He measures up to 12x12x15cm and is semi-posable. While he is safe to handle for most ages, this is still a handmade product and might be unsafe for children under 6 years of age. Not machine washable! You too can order your own custom owlbear! This design comes in 3 colors; A brown coat with big spots. A snowy coat with gray markings. A striped coat with black ear fluff. Each Owlbear cub is handmade and carefully assembled from a high quality faux fur. When cutting the segments for the cub's coat, we keep an eye on the patterns to make sure they all match up nicely. While we can't match every spot, we do make sure there are no ugly transitions across the seams! The nails and beak are hand molded with thermoplastic and provided with a coat of Acrylic paint that matches the fur. Last but not least, their arms are moderately posable, allowing you customize your Owlbear even further Their dimensions are a little over 15*15*15cm Due to their design, they make for a perfect gift for any Dungeons and Dragons or World of Warcraft fan! Or if you LARP, they are easy to maintain pets for any campaign. Because this is a handmade art product, it might not be suitable for children of a younger age.
