The no shame collection is a criticism of the beauty industry and the expectations it places specifically on young women. Women are taught at a young age that their value and worth comes from their appearance. Women are encouraged to spend hundreds of dollars on makeup, clothes, shoes, and creams that ward away wrinkles. If a woman isn’t wearing makeup and in a nice outfit people ask them if they are sick or upset. It is not enough in our society for women to exist.
