"The Poet Who Does Not Understand His Own Allegory"

I am Xean. In most cases, I am quite the apathetic person. I rarely have an interest and I have little to none hobbies. But Writing and Reading has always had a special place in my heart. I enjoy writing poetry because it has become my source of self-expression. I am excited to share with all of you this passion of mine. Though, I still have a lot to learn. So, join me in this "Endeavour to Literature's Brilliance" to further excel in my abilities and in order to analyze and appreciate the literary texts that have and will inspire me to strive for greatness.

A great mind once said "Those sparks who shine brightest often burn out fastest.", I intend to prove them wrong. I want to be able to create art through words. Art that resonates with everyone. I want my work to be appreciated adjacent to how I adore other's.

It is early mornings such as these that I remember how we used to greet each other "good morning" and say "I love you". Now once I awoke the shivering coldness of my bed engulfs me. No more of your warmth to inspire me to welcome each morning with a smile. Each and every morning since I lost you, for me, has been nothing but a countdown to my impending doom. But it was also through you that I've learned to cherish myself. So, I did. Even without you by my side, I'll face life with the same feeling as I did when I was with you. There will always be a part of you within me because you have taught me great things.

Ranni the Witch: Elden Ring’s Most Mysterious Demigod

If you’ve played Elden Ring or perhaps watched its gameplay, then you’ve definitely met Ranni the Witch, the four-armed, soft-spoken sorceress who possesses a doll’s body. She’s one of the most important characters in the game, and depending on your choices, she can shape the very ending of the Lands Between. But who exactly is she, and why is she so popular among players?

Ranni is the daughter of Radagon and Rennala, queen of the full moon. This makes her part of both the Carian royal family and the divine order tied to the Erdtree. In other words, she’s born into power, but instead of clinging to it like most demigods, she rejects it completely.

Long before the game’s events, Ranni organized the Night of the Black Knives, where the Rune of Death was used to assassinate Godwyn the Golden. She then destroyed her own physical body, leaving her soul bound to a doll. Why? Because she refused to be a puppet of the Greater Will, the elder god that controls the Lands Between through the Erdtree.

Ranni dreams of an Age of Stars, a thousand years of cold, moonlit order where the Greater Will no longer has any influence. Her vision isn’t about ruling through fire or gold like the other endings. It’s about cutting ties with the gods entirely, even if that future feels distant.

If you stick with her questline, she’ll eventually accept you as her consort and lead the world into this new era. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing… well, that’s up to interpretation.

Ranni is one of Elden Ring’s best-written characters. She’s mysterious without being shallow, morally grey without being confusing, and her questline feels epic and emotional. Her ending does raise questions like are we really free in the Age of Stars, or just swapping one god for another? but that ambiguity is what makes her story stick.

"Kindred: The Duality of Death"

Kindred is one of the most fascinating champions in League of Legends because they’re not just a character, but a concept personified. In its lore, Kindred is said to be the embodiment of death in Runeterra. A being of no singularity, one who is never alone. Kindred is composed of two entities, Lamb and Wolf. A perfect example of the duality of death. On the tales that scatter on the lands of Runeterra such as the play on Freljord dedicated to Kindred "A Good Death" suggests that lamb is a calm, serene and graceful figure who offers a gentle end to those who accept it. She offers a gentle shot of arrow to the heart. She represents the inevitability of death to be seen as something natural and not to be feared. Though if you were to refuse, Wolf shall ravage. Wolf is feral, hungry, and relentless who represents the violent or unpredictable side of death. While Lamb is mercy, Wolf is the chase of reality that death could never truly be escaped. Once they were one, but the reaper was alone and needed company so he took his scythe and split himself in two "so he would always have a friend".

Kindred is neither a villain nor a savior. They’re both terrifying and comforting. To some, death is release from suffering. While to others, it’s the end of everything cherished.

Kindred doesn’t choose which form death takes. It depends on how people approach it. In a sense, their prays choose whether they’ll meet Lamb or Wolf.

No matter how different people’s lives are, every story must reach its conclusion. Death is the one universal destiny. Without an ending, life wouldn’t be a “story.” Death gives significance to everything before it. You cannot escape Kindred, but you may have some say in how you meet them, with acceptance or resistance. Death is not just an intervention, but the natural ending that gives existence its shape.

"A Quiet Betrayal"

I witnessed you drift, holding my hand,

Your eyes gazing upon another land.

You smiled at me, though your heart gone,

As if a ghost, how shall one carry on?

You spoke of love, but your voice was thin,

A door half-open where someone walked in.

I tried to keep the light from dying,

But even in my arms, I felt you lying.

You moved on while I still linger,

Holding the shards of trust on my fingers.

Your goodbye wasn’t of any sincerity,

It is of clarity that you have left me.

Now I sit with echoes where you used to be,

Learning that love can unravel silently.

And nothing cuts deeper, nothing else tells,

An Open Letter to the Filipino Folk: A Call to End Corruption; to End Poverty

To my fellow Pilipinos,

As the people of our nation, it is only natural that we question the integrity of our country and its government. Have you ever pondered, why is it that even in this modern generation, so many of our people remain poor? Why do countless families experience hunger with no food in their plates? In my view, our country’s struggle with poverty stems from corruption and as its people, it is our time to fight for what’s right and speak against this fraudulence.

Corruption steals from us every day. A large portion of the public’s tax funds has been in vain because corrupt officials continue to pocket our money rather than using them in something functional and beneficial to our country. According to the Department of Finance estimated losses from corruption in flood-control expense from 2023 to 2025 is as high as ₱118.5 billion. Financial analysts even dictate that up to 70 % of the budget may have been lost to ghost projects.

Due to this inhumane act, millions of Pilipino continue to suffer. As Benigno Aquino III stated in his 2010 presidential campaign, “If there is no corruption, there will be no poverty.” This quote from our former president who is known for his honest governance remind us that this is not just an opinion. Poverty could have been overcome if only our leaders and the system chose honest service over senseless selfishness. That is why we must practice smart voting to ensure we elect leaders who truly serve the people.

Pilipinos are left without proper education, healthcare and trapped in a cycle of suffering while corrupt officials enjoy their lavish lifestyles. As such, The Commission on Audit flagged ₱242 billion worth of government agency and state university projects that are delayed or not implemented according to their plans. Which resulted to many communities deprived of proper roads, classrooms, and other vital infrastructure. It is clear that when funds are stolen, we lose opportunities for development, and poverty deepens even more

We, as Pilipinos shall not allow this to transgress any further. As citizens of a country that was freed from oppression by the sacrifices of our heroes who used their voice to fight for freedom, each and every one of us has the power to voice our opposition against this misconduct. We must unite and show that the power is not in their hands but ours. We must ask for the next leaders of our country to be honest and responsible. As long as our passion for justice and equality is lit within our hearts, we have the ability to shape our resolve.

This our fight. A fight for all the Pilipinos who dream of a bright future. A dream of a fair country where little to no family is poor, no family is left hungry and everyone has an opportunity for a good life. A dream of where the future belongs to us, not the corrupt.

The Trillion Peso March was only the beginning. Let us continue to raise our voices and make change. Let us all end corruption to end poverty.

Amalgamation of Flesh and Metal: Peak into my novel

(which I barely progress on sadly...)

Up to this point, I've only written the prologue and some few lines but I'm sharing them anyways :3

Prologue:

I have walked these roads of slippery red seas of flesh for decades to recognize every face and limbs mounted on the walls and floors of this forsaken and wretched world. What was once a civilization of development and technology has fallen into chaos from their own hunger of the future. This hunger was the one to devour them till all of the cold iron turned into muscles and tissues, scars and bruises as I trailed my way on them with my feet. I'll live long enough to see this world crumble on itself. The weight of the living will let it fall, once and for all.

Treading upon the soil of tissues, I am reminded of the day it all came into chaos. The bustling sound of the busy street slowly turned into screams and screeches of humanoids in pain. The clanging of their metal parts banging against their skin. The squelching, swollen flesh of theirs that is slowly spreading. I stood on a street, in pure horror as I watched them all deteriorate. The deafening pitch of the sirens in unison to the screams. It was like a choir of the lament of humans. But all of that is slowly fading in the back of my mind, I'm learning to live in this apocalypse, I am in no man's land. I am searching as I journey. Searching for someone with consciousness. Searching for someone like me whose humanity still lingers.

For the past 67 years, I have been living amongst the flesh in the city of Gnossis, once known as the city of the present future. From time to time the infection spreads to different parts of the city allowing me to inhabit them but once the disease has caught on to my bedding, I run and find a new place to live. All I have ever known and loved has been long gone and devoured of the flesh, all there is to do is survive though I have yet to understand what fuels my will to live through all these years. I ought to find others like me. So I have chosen to venture to the north where there stands a radio-static tower. Once there was a voice calling out from there through the radios, it has been long gone but I intend to figure it out. I shall use the tower to signal to others.

So far that's my progress... So maybe y'all could help me and give suggestions??

"Wealth writes the laws that governments enforce"

Laws are frequently created, adjusted, or enforced in ways that protect and serve the power and privileges of the rich. A prevalent issue observed here in the Philippines. While laws exist to regulate corruption, taxation, or labor rights, these rules often falls heavier on ordinary citizens than on the wealthy. A street vendor might face fines just for informal selling while powerful businesses can somehow bypass penalties through their connections. Instead of addressing hunger, unemployment, and lack of social services, the government continues to uphold laws that benefit the already powerful and not to mention, the continuous occurrence of corruption through ghost projects and exploitation of the public's tax money. The government has failed its people and now people are taking their stand and rising against this oppression. Do not blame them for asking for justice. Change while the door is still open, once the people lose their patience, the worst will take its turn.

- This quote is about experiencing the two sides of life. Looking down represents worrying about your failures and mistakes but looking up will let you see that there is beauty in life and that not everything is to worry about.

Because tonight I ate something really good I will be sharing with you the poem which I have written for how I feel adoration. A poem I hold dear to me. I hope you all feel the warmth I felt as I wrote it. I pass to you the romance of being captivated by a person.

This wasn't written for any particular individual though. I just wondered how I could put into words these feelings.

"Sometimes love means letting go, not because the feelings are gone, but because holding on is hurting more than healing"

Love is letting go because letting the person you love live their life free from their exhaust of you is what you should want rather than for them to stay and hurt the both of you. Be happy for them either way. Always be there to love them.
