Join us for an information evening about the rich history of the Fitzroy Readers and the principles and practice of teaching literacy with phonics! • Thursday March 14, 6pm. $10 including light refreshments 🍷 Link to bookings in bio. • The @fitzroyreaders were developed in the 1970s at Fitzroy Community School and were initially handwritten and photocopied at the corner milk bar on Brunswick Street. The readers are now used in close to 4,000 Australian schools as well as being used by families and home-schoolers and around the world. • Faye Berryman is the principal author of the Fitzroy Readers. She is a former secondary English teacher and Child Social Worker.
