Prompt: Percy having a crisis about a shirtless Blake mowing the lawn (maybe with Amber?)

He’s doing it again.
That’s the thing about lawns. You have to mow them over and over and over again. Blake doesn’t have a huge backyard, so he’s always done pretty quickly. That’s also why he insists on doing it himself.
Since it’s July, he’s doing it shirtless.
And Percy was emptying their dishwasher a minute ago, but now Blake is right outside the kitchen window with the lawn mower and Percy is just standing here with a mug in one hand and a dishtowel in the other. Gawking.
Percy has seen Blake shirtless plenty of times; he’s even watched him mow the lawn before. He remembers standing at the window like he is right now, with his grandma, staring.
He’s not proud of it because back then it was kind of– They weren’t together. Technically, Percy was objectifying his hot neighbor. Now he’s objectifying his hot boyfriend.
It’s a particular kind of shirtlessness. Blake’s all sweaty and there’s this tiny curl he didn’t pull into his bun and it’s sticking to the back of his neck. Percy needs to dunk his head into a bucket of cold water and calm the fuck down.
Blake disappears from view for a moment and Percy manages to put away exactly two mugs before he’s back and Percy’s practically glued to the window again.
When Blake comes back inside ten minutes later, Percy still isn’t done.
“Hey,” Blake says. “It’s so nice and cool in here.”
It’s not nice and cool. Percy is sweating. He’s not proud of this either, but he throws his dishtowel on the counter and practically jumps Blake. Just climbs him like a tree.
Blake catches him with a surprised noise but thankfully doesn’t drop him. “Can I take a shower before we–”
“No,” Percy says and kisses him.

Prompt: Quality time with a cow & several other prompts about Shane meeting farm animals

“If you’re a cow, why don’t you have spots?” Shane says. “I thought cows were supposed to have spots, but you don’t. Riddle me that.”
His new pal (who doesn’t have spots for some reason), does not answer him. He can’t. Because he’s a cow. Allegedly.
Shane definitely hasn’t met a lot of cows in his life, so what does he know? He looks over his shoulder at Brady and Jeff, who are talking to their friend. The owner of this cow that has Shane thoroughly flabbergasted.
They’re here to pick up a horse, for Jeff, not for Brady. Shane just tagged along because he was promised alpacas. And he’s met the alpacas and they were adorable, but this cow is even funnier. It’s all fluffy. It has bangs.
“Are you some kind of teddy bear cow?” Shane goes on.
The cow turns to him and Shane wants nothing more than to pet those fluffy bangs, but– He wants to stay alive, okay?
“Please don’t ask me if we can buy a cow,” Brady says, stepping up next to him.
“I would never,” Shane says. “He’s cute, though, you have to admit that. And he has bangs.”
“Leroy said his name is Douglas. He’s a highland cow.”
“Is that why he doesn’t have spots?”
Brady smirks. “Lots of cows don’t have spots.”
Shane throws up his hands. “I don’t hang out with cows a lot.” He nods at Douglas. “Do you think he’d chomp my hand off if I touched his bangs?”
“I think he wouldn’t mind,” Brady says and reaches over the fence to give the cow a gentle pat. “And,” he adds and holds up a carrot to Shane, “I think he wouldn’t mind if you gave this to him.”
“Wow, you just know how to woo a guy,” Shane says and takes the carrot with a smile.

Hello friends! Here's an official announcement: My next book will be published on November 23, 2024.
