Lux stayed silent and only continued staring, her gaze going past to Aurora and then straight to Isolde, who had now began sobbing in worry and fear. “No no! We need to get Alex, Alex or Amelia….” she panicked, worried for their baby and now Aurora. Lux stepped forward “This place is a hovel…” she growled, sure she was using Lux’s voice but it was clear it wasn’t Lux speaking. “Oh will you shut up!” Lux then said to herself, as the actual Lux side argued with Luci.

Aurora had a look of pure terror on her face and her heart dropped in her stop. Isolde’s words went right through her, her voice fading out and replaced by loud ringing, as if a flash bomb had gone off. The mermaid frozen still as she watched Lux. Or someone.. she knew it wasn’t her. An energy was pulsating off Lux, and not in a good way. It made the mermaid feel utterly drained. She had a different look on her face, one that she never seen pulled. The mermaid made a tiny sob. Scared that someone she actually cared about could be in high danger. “Isolde..” she weakly squeaked. “I’m frightened.”

“Oh no I could never ask Alex to go out of her way like that.” She whispered softly, watching Isolde with curious eyes. “May I ask what kind of being you are? I always thought it might be rude to ask.” She said softly, saying thank you as Isolde set the tea in front of her. “Well you shouldn’t be too much on your feet then. If you need any help at all don’t hesitate to ask I don’t mind.” Aurora said smiling brightly.

“I’m sure she’ll be wanting to when she hears her sister has gone AWOL” She reassured, the blonde then giving a gentle little smile. “I’m a demon, daughter of-…” she was about to explain until the apartment door was thrown open and a furious Lux was standing there, seeming to stare through Aurora and Isolde. Isolde’s wings immediately came out and she scrambled backwards, holding her stomach, breathing heavily as she tried to calm down- the demon obviously sensing the presence of her mother.

On the verge of letting tears break through and slide down her cheeks. “Y-Yes please.” She said quietly and folded her arms across her chest. “I’m just… scared… if something happened to her. Something very very awful..” she said weakly.

Isolde gave the girl a hug and then patted her shoulders “She’ll come home” she soothed and then went over to the kitchen and began to make tea “I can always have Alex go and look for her when she is home?” The blonde offered, then using her powers to heat up the water instantly, the blonde bringing the tea over and giving a soft smile. “I would go, but the baby is making me very tired and Amelia gets worried…” she rambled.

Isolde got up and came over to the mermaid, the demon showing with her pregnancy since in demon time she was about halfway through, the blonde rubbed her stomach as the baby got a little fussy “Oh Honey, Alex has often stated that Lux does this, she disappears and then reappears…Like a cat I guess, do you want some sweet tea? That may calm you?”

Aurora looked up at Lux with sad eyes, mostly for the hunter. True this wasn’t the Lux she knew, she was different. Aurora approaches Lux and gently placed her hands on either side of her face and looked at her in the eyes gently, wiping away her tears. “I’m so sorry she did this to you..” Aurora said calmly trying to get Lux to breath.

Suddenly a giant black bat slammed on the ground in front of Aurora and Lux. Another elder, screeching loudly in front of them. Aurora fell backward and scrambled back away from the bat. Regan was sobbing now not sure what she should do. There was nothing she could do.

Dawn immediately crashed through in a mess of wings, screeching and snarling calingl for Kat, Danny and for Emily, the huge brown bat clambered over to Acelline who was now still, the bat sniffing at the black tar blood and hissing when the silver irritated her nose, she then looked to Reagan and began to snuffle over her- showing a sisterly concern for the youngest. The brown bat whining in worry for her mother. Lux fell backwards too “Shit! Now that’s a cavalry…” She stammered “There’s another exit, run, forget me!” she snapped to Aurora, then rooting in her bag and throwing a silver nitrate powder bomb at the huge black bat “Back off asshole!” she snapped.

Dawn was panicking and making shrieks, her beady eyes wide and her noises loud. Kat joined Emily in human form checking her Makers eyes that were rolled back still “I haven’t seen this kind of thing in years” she admitted to Emily. Dawn shrieked in more panic at Emily, too worked up to change back yet allowing Reagan to cling to her. When the black bat jumped at them the hunter yelped out “Sushi! Fucking fine!” She snapped pulling out a Babylon candle that she and Alex had stolen from a witch, she’d never wanted to use it since they were so rare, it took dark witches so long to make them “Hold onto me.” She coached Aurora “Think of home…” she coached herself thinking of her sister before snapping out her zip lighter and lighting it, the candle beginning to crackle and then transmuting the two of them.

Aurora gasped and held onto her shoulder as the venom entered her body she looked to Lux and weakly reached for her with a bloody hand gripping into her shirt tightly. Once they disappeared the elder black bat look up and turned herself into a human. Wearing a tightly black dress that went all the way down to the floor matching her long black hair. She slowly made her way down to the basement where everyone seemed to be screaming and shouting. The elder simply clapped her hands to get everyone’s attention and made her way to Aceline kneeling down. “Oh my old friend. “ she said quietly. “Now I need everyone to calm down. She’s going to be fine. But she will take time to recover.” She said taking a dagger and slicing her wrist open and letting the blood drip into Adeline’s mouth.

Lux you are putting my girls in danger.” Aurora weakly looked to Alex her shoulder was crushed and her white dress was splattered in her own blood. Alex grumbled. “Fuck..” she muttered and called Isolde down. “They are not going to be happy about this..”

Emily came in her bat form right behind Dawn as well as Danny and Abby who ran down the steps to the basement. Emily changed back into human and went to Aceline. “She needs elder blood.” She said quietly to Dawn. Regan was an utter mess and was clinging to Dawn. The bat simply sneezed at the powder bomb and leaped at the two. Pinning Aurora and sinking it’s large fangs into her shoulder. The mermaid screamed and thrashed and pushed at the bat’s snout.

“Lux no!” Aurora whined when Lux jumped on the bat. When the hunter flew backward Aurora immediately went by her side helping her stand. “You are incredibly foolish.” She said moving quickly and helping Lux as much as she could. Regan yanking the syringe from Aceline. “Oh shit shit!” The syringe already empty. Aurora went ahead of Lux by a few feet as a few vampire guards came at them. She used what side she had of her Siren abilities and used the water from the pipes to blast them out of the path, some crashing into furnitureothers blasting through windows. In the distance was a rather loud screech. Aurora went back to Lux to help her walk.

“Going out in style, fuck I think my ribs are broken…” Lux groaned, but now moved to protect Aurora “Come on, lets go” she insisted and then tried to head to the door widening her eyes when she heard an all too familar screech, followed by another loud one in the distance, one of the screeches was Dawn.  “Come on, Sushi!” She snapped more urgently now, taking the blondes hand. Acelline screeched and whined, rubbing her face on the floor, before coughing up thick black blood that hissed and oozed as it hit the floor, as if she were burning from the inside out, her beady eyes rolling backwards as she slowly hit the floor with a thud.

Regan stepped around the wing and clicked out her fangs at the mermaid. Aurora panicked and threw the stake in her hands not sure what to do with it. The stake hitting Regan on the head. “Ouch..” She grumbled.

“I don’t know! Fuck you got in my head!” lux barked, dodging Acelline’s snapping jaws again, just. When Aurora threw the stake at Reagan, Acelline made a concerned noise and snuffled over her progeny immediately, wanting to check that she was fine, forgetting Lux almost instantly. Lux widened her eyes “Don’t hate me for this, also…You’re sweet, thank you for trying to help with my sanity” Lux said as if was trying to say goodbye, the hunter springing up and running at Acelline, stabbing her hard with the needle in her neck as the older vampire fussed over her progeny. Lux smashing down the plunger on the syringe before getting hit backwards by Acelline’s large wing when the bat immediately gave out a blood curdling screech of pain and panic, calling out for other bats that were close. Lux got up holding her now broken ribs “FuckFUCK! We have to go now! That’s a queen bee calling fucking drones, go fucking now!”

Regan was glaring at the mermaid curious to know why a mermaid was with a hunter. Against her own will? Hostage? She didn’t know. But the fact she was holding a stake in her hand. Aurora looked between the hunter and the bat.

“Sushi, you’d better be staying where you are..” Lux’s hand began to shake with a mix of adrenaline and fear, she missed Alex for this, Alex and her would have been a team and it made the hunter wonder if she’d been stupid with severing ties. Acelline gave a warning snap at Lux to keep away from her progeny, not caring at all about herself, but only ever about her children. “Oh come on you overgrown carpet, you had to know this was coming one day” lux said through gritted teeth, the hunter spitting at her, this making Acelline only snap again at Lux but harder this time, this making Lux almost stumble back. Fuck, she couldn’t do this, Acelline was too strong. She was now guessing that Evie wanted her to fail, wanted her to be killed…Maybe it was because of the whole Esti thing, maybe it was punishment for hog tying the werewolf?

Aurora was frozen stiff when the large bat woke and now was staring at Lux. She went pale in the face and swallowed thickly. Regan woke as well but stood behind Aceline swallowing thickly. “I am not leaving.” Aurora said louder.

Lux wasn’t sure what to do and found herself in a staring match with the large bat that glared at the hunter. The bat made a low noise at Reagan and moved to put her wing over Reagan to keep the girl close to her and under her, Acelline now showing her teeth and beginning to hiss at Lux lowly. “Then stay there…” Lux gave in, gripping the syringe in her hand and standing more defensively in a stand off, the hunter looking to Reagan and then snapping the thought that the other seemed to be just a kid from her mind.

Aurora gently cupped Lux’s cheek almost worried as if it would be the last time she’d see her, and then let her go. Her hand falling and closing around the stake. Her back pressed against the cold wall of the basement.

“Don’t give me that look…” Lux almost hissed, not mouthing and then realising her mistake, freezing when she heard a loud huff of breath, the Hunter turning her head to the side to meet two bright yet beady red eyes. “Sushi, get the fuck out of here…” she then said louder.

Aurora took the stake, and looked at it curiously. Not sure what to do with it but she continued to follow Lux quietly. When they entered the basement she felt her heart sink once she saw Aceline sleeping and Regan was curled up against her. Aurora quickly gripped onto Lux’s hand to get her attention. She shook her head and mouthed ‘don’t do this.’ Worried for Lux’s safety.

Lux looked back at Acelline who was curled around Reagan, protecting her with her large body and yet so delicate with her progeny at the time, her large chin rested on the girl. Lux swallowed thickly and took out her syringe of silver nitrate and took a shaky breath. When Aurora distracted her she looked deeply at her, the hunter for once showing conflict in her eyes, out of her depth without Alex or Dr Green to properly ground her. “I have to do it” she mouthed back.
