“Okay,” she said nervously. “How do I play the game?”
“Oh it’s a very easy game, Sweetie.” He assured her, offering a bright smile. “You just need to guess and ask questions, and I’ll reply with the truth. But they can’t be too easy now, just asking ‘Who I am’ would be no fun at all~”
"Okay," she murmured, still not completely relaxed. "Do you know anyone else in my family?"

Suzie pondered about it for a moment, scratching her chin softly as she did, “Hm… you should be the Goddess because you’re as beautiful as one! Now for this game we have to use all our imagination, all our mind to play it! To create our own, perfect world!”
"I like that," she smiled. "Maybe they can live in a pretty castle where everyone is nice to each other?"
“It’s very yummy,” she beamed. “I don’t get to eat cake a lot. Mummy and daddy say I don’t deserve it.” She took another bite of the cake and wiped her mouth with her sleeve. “I like you, I think you’re nice.”
Suzie frowned deeply as she finished the last chunk of her cake, moving her hands to cup her own face, Suzie was deep in thought and she did not like Vivenne’s parents at all, they sounded mean and strict, not an upbrining a growing child needs. And how could someone so sweet, cute and lovely say that she didn’t deserve it? Suzie was appalled at the girls words. “No sweety, you deserve the cake, because you’re so lovely and for a little girl you’re very strong, “Suzie gazed at the girl with a tender fondness, a need to protect the girl formed over her. “And I like you too! I think you’re much nicer than me though!”
Vivienne looked up, “You think I’m strong?” She smiled, suddenly embarrassed. As she finished her cake, she wiped her mouth and sighed with content. “The cake was yummy, thank you.” She didn’t want to stop spending time with her, it felt good to have someone be so nice. She paused, looking at the ground. “Are you my friend?”
Suzie stared at Vivenne for a moment, how could Vivenne not see how strong she was? She was sweet, kind and so lovely, it was impossible not to like her, Suzie gave her an affectionate smile to reassure Vivenne that she still had the sames thoughts and beliefs on her like she did previously, “Of course I’m your friend Vivenne and of course i think you’re strong, there are not many little girls like you, trust me, I’ve met a lot of young girls, none of them like you Vivenne, so would you like to play dollies now?”
“Yes, please. Can you teach me how?”
“Hm… well… you get one dolly and you pretend that she’s real and that she- she’s a princess! But she’s lost, very lost, so lost that she can’t even find her way home out of… Asgard, and the other dolly can be from Asgard, a Goddess of… Innocence. And these two are on a journey so that this dolly can home! What do you think?”

John bit his lip, running a hand through his hair as he nodded with Jim. When he next caught Jim’s eyes he gave him, the we need to talk look before looking back to Vivienne. “You’re safe here, nobody is going to hurt you while you are here. You have your big brother looking after you too, so don’t worry, alright? He leaned forward, gently brushing the hair away from her face, smiling lightly at her. “It’ll all be fine.”
Vivienne took a deep breath and smiled weakly up at John. "Okay, I trust you." She let herself calm down a little more. She noticed John looking at Jim with concern, and tugged on Jim's shirt. "Are you okay?"
“I’d like to play, miss, but I don’t have any dollies. Mummy and daddy don’t let me have them.”
Suzie gave her an delighted grin, her hand reaching into her bag and pulling out two dollies, both were Barbie dolls. “Here, take the one you like most, I usually have dolls because I work at a hospital… well I volunteer actually but I am usually in the children’s ward so… you have to be prepared, oh, oh would you like some cake, I always have cake in my bag!”
Vivienne’s eyes lit up at the treats in her bag. She reached out for one of the dolls and studied it in her hands. She glanced up again to see the cake in the woman’s hands. Her mouth watered, but she didn’t want to seem hungry. “Thank you, miss,” she said politely.
Suzie gave her a fond and affectionate grin as she sat down, cross legged on the ground while placing the cake upon the ground, “Take as much as you’d like! We don’t have manners from where I’m from!” She gave out a little giggle and used her find a small slice before stuffing it onto her mouth. “It’s fine, honestly! I hope you like chocolate cause it’s covered in it!”
“You don’t have manners?” She stared at the woman, shocked at such a statement. A lack of manners would get her a slap at the least. She looked down at the cake; it was getting more irresistible with time. She giggled softly and reached down for the cake, taking a handful.
Suzie let out a childish giggle, her innocence was coming into view as she began to lick her fingers in enjoyment as the taste of the cake.
“It’s delicious isn’t it? But manners? Me? Nope, not ever, sometimes, you’ve got to live a little even if people find it revolting at times!” She said beaming at her, she hoped to help Vivienne’s mood and brighten her up a little, it was unusual for Suzie to meet a child who was very much like an adult, it just simply wasn’t right she thought to herself before giving Vivienne another grin to help ease her.

After Jim walked into the bathroom, Vivienne looked at the floor and sighed. She was used to the abuse from her parents, but this felt different. She didn’t understand, and it was driving her crazy. She was scared that this anonymous was still out there, waiting to attack her and Jim again. Her hand lifted to gingerly touch her cheek, hoping a scar wouldn’t form. She turned to see Jim coming back from the bathroom, her eyes beginning to well once more.
Jim came back, pressing a wad of paper towel to the now wet spot on his shoulder. His eyes narrowed as he saw Vivienne’s lower lip trembling and he rushed over, sitting down next to her.
Vivienne…whats wrong? What happened? Does your cheek still hurt?
John finally returned to the main room, two cups of tea and a mug in hand as he walked to the duo. “Sorry, I hope you two don’t mind.” he set them all on the table before kneeling before the two. “Everything alright?”
