Need some snapdragons in my life, "Doubleshot Peach" and "Madame Butterfly Cherry Bronze"

Also need to make room for the sweet pea... "America" and "Nimbus", some say "Nimbus doesn't smell at all and some say it has a nice scent so I need to know.

Got to find space for some nasturtiums. I have some collected seeds from last year but... look at these pink ones. Left is "Tip Top Pink Blush" and right is "Salmon Baby"

Bought as "Tiger Babies", which should be more on the cream side but these looks like regular tiger lilies. Still nice but not what I was going for but anyone who's into gardening knows that this happen and you just buy some more until you get it right.

This painting keep popping up in my mind (and many other gardeners too), John Singer Sargents "Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose". You can smell it, I want a corner like this in the garden too. I want to sit there at night (not get eaten by mosquitoes) with a cup of tea and a good friend.

The first flower happened during some bad weather and... the second one will probably be in full bloom tomorrow, looks great! It's a "Wanvisa"

My patio ponds are blooming, first one is super tiny "Hevola" and the second one is bigger "Rubra". I had the water lily in a classic basket last year and it didn't bloom. Did year I planted all of them in containers without any drainage and caped them with sand and blooming right away. I also added some fertilizers but I did that last year too. Anyway, the none drainage way is the trick

So far

Maybe spring didn't start as early as last year? It's been colder? I don't know but I recall that last year I had plenty of seedlings ready to go in my boxes, not a lot happening so far this year. A little concerned but what can you do.

I still have plenty of things that can be direct sown so I should be good. I will sow some more this week.

Bulbs!

My bulbs arrived today and I don't have pots or soil. I put the dahlias in the fridge and will pot them up when I got the soil.

Planted 3 amazon lilies in a pot

Planted 1 tuberose in a pot, and 2 in a pot

Potted up the iris "Miss Apple" in a small pot and will do it properly later on, placed it outside in one of the plastic boxes.

Gloriosa superba was bigger than expected and you're supposed to plant them horizontal so I needed a really big pot. I hope it was big enough.

I'm a little behind, there will be a lot of sowing these following days and I need to get a pallet collar... I really want two but can I fit them in? I want I want I want!!

I also need to order my patio ponds, water lilies, soil etc...

Pansies and lavender

Sowed some pansies outside in my boxes earlier, nothing yet... and I want pansies everywhere so I sowed some indoors as well. And some leftover lavender "Hidcote Blue" which I left outside in a box.

Sweet Peas

Sowed sweet peas today, indoor but once (if) they grow I will let them get ca 10 cm and then put them outside.

They all popped up after just a few days like they often do. Except for "Villa Roma Scarlet" but I used some bad seeds, I took the ones I put as side that didn't look good enough for sales which just proves my point that I shouldn't sell them. I planted some more.

Very me...

My Canna lilies and colocasias are on their way and I have not read up on how to grow them. A little unsure what I will plant them in and such... yeah, typically me. I hope it goes alright regardless.

UPDATE 4/3: So they arrived and I decided to just pot them up and worst case I will replant them in something else later. Just common potting soil for all except for one of the colocasias which I made a mix of pond clay and leca. I was going to sell one of the colocasias but one looked great and one looked a little off. I wouldn't sell the big one and the smaller one, what if it died. Nope, poor me has to keep them both. Planted the pots by the terrace door where there's plenty of light and a little cooler. Fingers crossed.

PS. I might have to buy some more pond clay... that stuff is so heavy. I hope they have it at Plantagen where I plan to buy soil later in the spring, they deliver to your door. Oh and I have to buy at least one more pallet collar. Note to self.

Accidentally growing some bloodworms

So I thought I had mosquitos in my waterlily bucket but I haven't been bitten and I saw small red worms that looks like bloodworms, turns out that they are and the mosquitoes aren't blood suckers. Feel a little bad about killing them, on the other hand I kind of wish I had fish that could eat all the worms.
