Extracting Silicon from Quartz or Sandstone:
Crushing and Grinding: Crush Quartz or Sandstone into fine granules using a hammer and mortar.
Refining: Place the granules in a furnace at around 1,500 degrees Celsius. The silicon will separate from the rest of the material and can be collected.
Chapter 4: Smelting and Forging Processes
Smelting Temperature: Maintain a consistent temperature of 1,400 degrees Celsius for steel. Add the Aluminum and Silicon first, ensuring they are fully integrated before slowly introducing the Ebony Dust.
Initial Forging: Shape the metal into desired forms while it is still hot (around 1,000 degrees Celsius).
Tempering: Reheat the metal to 600 degrees Celsius and then cool it rapidly in oil to enhance its durability.
Final Forging: Conduct any intricate work at lower temperatures (around 800 degrees Celsius) to maintain malleability.

The metal's surface will be smooth to the touch, with a very fine, almost imperceptible grain. Upon close inspection, the metal may exhibit delicate striations or veins that are a result of the alloying process, providing a textured look without roughness.
