I just need to also add that I started working with NPS recently, and some parks are starting to offer "Bark Ranger" programs (like Junior Rangers, but for pets) and I soooo wanna set one up at my site because I think it would be so precious, I could cry thinking about it.

All that to say, if you are near any NPS sites or parks(or ever visit), see if they are pet friendly and if they do any sort of Bark Ranger stuff, because I love Ranger puppies

I will 100% continue updating you!! We’ve been trying to take Rocket on walks but it’s soooo cold out that he’s just not into it at all and wants to go back home after he pees, but he loooves puppy training, car rides and dragging around “dad’s” moccasins (not to destroy, just to snuggle)

I love that he loves puppy training, I love puppies getting educated to be a good pupper.

Also my dog doesn't really know the definition of too cold. She loves to frolic in the snow, which is funny because she came from a shelter in Texas. Im sure little Rocket will love walks once it begins to warm up ❤❤

We decided to not put rocket in a kennel during the day bc if he does have an accident I’d honestly rather it be on my hardwood floor than in his kennel & then he has to just sit in it for hours & someone just pm’d me on Facebook to tell me that we’re awful dog owners 😅😅

The fuck??? We let our dog stay out so she doesnt get bored (also she big) and she's fine???

Well... except we sometimes get home to find that there is a piece of trash or two that she decided she needed to chew by her bed.

But also, you ain't hurting the dog by doing that, and there is nothing more precious than having a dog come to greet you when you get home, soooo

IM SO HAPPY FOR THESE PUPPERS!

I'm excited for Rocket to have lovey puppy training and I want them both to have their perfect spots that they've claimed as theirs it is truly one of the things that I love.

I also wish they have a million toys to choose from. We sometimes take our dog to farm supply when we need to get stuff for our chickens, she likes the socialization, and she loves getting treats and pets from staff and customers, and we always help her pick out ONE toy that she can play with when we get home...

Chicago is heckin’ cold & we live directly in the middle of the city so it’s just been AWFUL and Rocket has had none of it hahaha

OH WOOF. I was like "hm, maybe they aren't in the worst of it and AREN'T in Chicago" but that is some INTENSE cold.

Dog(s) update: our boy (Rocket) has settled in well despite the polar vortex (which made it vvv hard to bring him outside to go potty). sister puppy gets picked up on Sunday!!

HIS NAME IS ROCKET???? That is so precious!!!! I love him.

And I can imagine massively cold temps can be hard to get a puppy to get used to, I dont know where you are, but in MA where I am, its been mostly hard to get ourselves taking our dog out and tending to our chickens. Not to mention that snow from the last storm turned into ice, so no one, including the dog wants to go out back.

...Unless she (Honey, our dog) wants to look at the chickens and try to get them to play with her. Then she braves the ice.

Fact: I ALMOST didn’t go to prom with him bc my friend was upset I was the only one with a date, but instead of telling him I couldn’t go with him bc friend drama, I talked to her about how I rlly liked him and didn’t mean to hurt her, AND NOW WE’RE GETTING A DOG PLS EXPLAIN TO ME HOW THIS HAPPENED
