vanilla light floods your eyes in two maybe three infinite seconds of serenity, comfortable foggy residue of another consciousness hanging thick between your lids until
lashes fluttering in realization
serenity slips into the past
the pain of lost love so sharp. as if reliving its end, every morning
goldenrod
“The early morning is lovely. I like to feel that I am in harmony with nature;”
— Virginia Woolf, from a diary entry featured in “A Passionate Apprentice,”
birds, again.
occupying air space with reckless necessity to survive. obeying community law only. everything becomes a perch. tiny fluff of a baby on the cement this morning, demanding, in constant state of cuteness
sometimes, in complete harmony. dots forming one line, one mass taking off in a curve to the sky
other times, independent chaos.
July 19th- dream of cedar waxwing, communing with the bird.
January 20th- dream of two large great blue herons flying over woodlands where I grew up.
Janruary 4th- mini firefly larvae hatching high up in a cluster of pines, brought to tears by the spectacle.
radical love. the power of a comet flying through space is within—sourced from a summer night’s dream during an eclipse
triangular oxalis, watercolor + pastel + gel pen on paper
together in a moment out of time
the stars came through him and saw all of me as if my skin was the water up to his thighs
accepting soft lapping waves from my seismic pulse
petals on paper, with watercolor
wild baby cat on the move, frolicked all morning long in the garden, so floofy, so free
I wanted the soft loving always touching too-in-sync spending days together exploring life together
and instead I was purely ignored, no soft love no touches, no ability to feel close to you
I left to heal myself apart from you
stayed together in hopes of it helping you too but you gave yourself to someone else for half a year
while I was trying to help both of us
and at some points I didn’t want to be with you at all
I was hurting that much
and now it hurts worse
Dream bath with almost all the plants I had, various candles, and crystals/rocks/earthen materials from the 2017 eclipse viewing ✨
very barney-hued berries & blue sky
