A solo. Holy shit. It was Tina’s first, ever, and from the moment Mr Schue confirmed it as reality, she was up on cloud nine. Or at least she was, until Rachel’s little storm-out roundhouse kicked her off of it. The silence that followed when the door clicked shut left a bitter taste in her mouth, and a wealth of complicated emotions in its wake. Suddenly, it felt like every set of eyes in the choir room was on her and all that pressure, whether she was imagining it or not, weighed heavy on her shoulders.
She was among the last of the club members to file out. When she finally walked through the halls to the parking lot she wanted to be alone; she thought better in quiet. Unfortunately, her mind was anything but quiet. When the room was almost empty, finally, a thought bubbled over, one she couldn’t contain.
“Should I have gone after her?” Tina asked, with a voice that sounded embarrassingly feeble. “Rachel, I mean…”

Glee club was the last thing Quinn’s long list of things. She barely even wanted to be here- but what Coach demands, Coach gets. She didn’t have the paitence for things like diva storm outs, especially over who gets to sing. She’d just tuned into her history textbook after that- if she had to be here, she would rather be ahead in her classes.
Which is why she was one of the last people to leave- left packing up her bag, and barely even noticed anyone around her until a voice spoke out. She glanced up- the e-girl, Tina. “And give her the satisfaction? No.” She adjusted her backpack onto her shoulders, straightening, “Just sing the song. Try and do it better than she can- and then the rest of us never have to deal with another one of whatever it is she tried to do.”
