Anaxagoras is such an interesting character. I hear a lot of people calling him arrogant but I think "self-assured" is a more fitting term.

He, by design cannot be arrogant as arrogance means to exaggerate one's importance to others and Anaxagoras flat out doesn't care what others think of him. That indifference of his is not limited to Gods.

Anaxagoras also is a theatre kid, which with his self-assuredness can come off as him arrogance, but he doesn't exactly exaggerate his knowledge or try to make himself look better, he's just eccentric.

A lot of that sort of impression I feel also comes from the portrayal of Anaxagoras by the voice actor. His EN sounds quite haughty and arrogant, like someone who would look down his nose at you for asking a nonsense question. Although a lot of his voicelines such as his Greeting, Parting and Turn start dialogue are him asking for questions which is... dissonant. It makes him sound as if he is asking for questions so he can put other people down... It's additionally dissonant as his dialogue about teaching, where he says "The more bold a student's question is, the happier I am."

The JP voice actor portrays him as a calm and collected person, the kind of teacher that would calmly dismiss nonsense questions, yet happy that you had the initiative to ask a question in the first place.

Anyway this ramble was brought up by how I've noticed the importance of a voice actor's role. The way the actor speaks, the intonation, how loud it is how fast they speak... It changes how the character is perceived. With characters that have multiple voice actors, there can be multiple interpretations of their personality where none of them are quite wrong.

Not to mention you can never quite understand a well-written character, you can only interpret them.

I did some math with a good ol' Excel sheet (instead of doing my school work) and:

Professor, did you want to come home that badly? Did you feel bad that I lost my first ever 80 pity... or did the news about Permansor Terrae Dan Heng reach you late?

I play on phone and I don't want to try to get a thingy to extract pity count because I have a fear of malware so I'm doing this manually.

Update:

- My Anaxagoras is E2S1, my friend made me gamble on my Sunday stock and I got E2 around 56 pulls.

- My friends are subjected to me simping over Anaxagoras because he's there every time I open my game and I like looking at him.

- I'm trying to learn how to draw him and I'm posting my doodles on Hoyolab so I can obtain Anaxagoras profile decorations.

- I have plans to skip all the other Chrysos Heirs because I want Sunday, don't care about them too much and I'm locked in on two characters where I have no will to pull for anyone else than Anaxagoras and Sunday.
