U.R. turned back to Dr. Lokyer, and smirked. “Let’s be fair here, Loky- wait a second. THAT’S why the name sounded familiar!” U.R. turns and looks at Lesley and back to Dr. Lokyer “Are you two by any chance related, Lokyers?”
The doctor looked at the girl behind him again. “You’re a Lokyer? I didn’t know there was that many around here.” He turned back to U.R. “Where did you find this one?”
“She picked up Kally’s phone, you know, the one with the direct line? She picked it up and we met up at a bar to return it.”
“What’s your name, sweetheart?” He smiled. The tone behind “sweetheart” wasn’t so much kind as it was a bit mocking. He got a good look at the girl. She was familiar…
“I-I’m Lesley…” She stampered. “I’m an army scientist, a-and if you don’t let me go they’ll look for me!” She said with fake confidence, knowing it wasn’t very convincing. She still didn’t know how she was getting out of here.
His eyes widened. It couldn’t really be her, could it? There couldn’t be many Lokyers around here, specifically redheaded ones. “Lesley? My little Lesley?” He grinned. Of course it was her! Those same scared eyes, the way she hugged herself when frightened. He walked to her and hugged her, getting some of the blood from his clothes on her in the process. “You are my Lesley! I’ve been looking for you since I got out! You’ve grown up so nicely, and you’re a scientist as well! I’m so glad you followed in your father’s footsteps!” He looked back at U.R. “I can’t believe you found her!”
