its been 2 years, any thoughts on coming back to pmmm parody?

I have a full course load this semester (with three animation studios and a job on top of it), and Director Chii is in the middle of her own studies as well. I’m sorry, but as things are right now, we just do not have the time or resources to pick it back up. :(

Are you going to release a video saying the series is canceled? I know alot of people don't use tumblr and it would kinda suck for them to not know what's happening with the series.

I’ve certainly thought about it, and I agree it would be better if we did. It’s just a matter of finding the time to make one ;; I’ll try though!

I'm sorry you guys are facing all these troubles, I really hope things settles up as soon as possible and that you can have great luck with school/work and life in general! I'm happy we could have these 4 eps already, and I'm sure most of your fans think the same, so you guys did a great job and should be proud even if you can't complete the project in the way you have planned! I want to say thank you for providing us with such a great abridged series. Its a pity that it had to end when it was getting to the better parts of the series but even so, the first four episodes you covered were still highly entertaining. I wish you the best luck on your future pursuits. PS, Your Kyoko was awesome.

What is happening with Meduka Meguca: The Animation?

Hello everyone,

Given our lack of activity over the last six months, I’m sure a lot of you have some ideas about what’s happening (or not happening) with Episode 5.

I’m not going to beat around the bush; things with us have been a bit of a rollercoaster for the last while. I don’t know how many of you are aware of this, but Chii and I work for the same department in the same company – which is awesome, we’re great friends – but the company is shutting our department down. As of April 17th, neither of us will be employed.

I’ve mentioned a handful of times that Episode 5 has been put on the backburner because I’ve been focusing on getting into art school, and I am happy to inform you all that I have been accepted, and will be starting classes this coming September. That being said, this combined with everything that has happened at work, does not bode well for the continuation of MM:TA.

We’ve struggled for a number of years now to keep this project afloat, and we really did have every intention of seeing it through to the end. However, given our current circumstances, and the financial troubles we are going to be facing in the near future, it is just not feasible for us to continue. So it is with the deepest regret that I announce that, as of today, the Mahou Troupe is officially disbanding. We will leave the episodes up on our channel as an archive of sorts because it is something that we put a lot of hard work and effort into, and though it is incomplete, it is our sincerest hope that you all will be able to continue to enjoy the work we’ve done. It is hard to say right now, but we don’t know what the future will bring. Maybe one day we’ll have the time and resources to pick this project up again and finish it properly.

Thank you to everyone who has watched Meduka Meguca: The Animation and supported us over the years. You guys are all fantastic, and are the reason we stuck it out as long as we did. You have our deepest gratitude and our best wishes for years to come.
