Juuuust beautiful.
I do really hope though that her teachers break her out of the habit of doing those *jazz* arms right before she does her pirouette. I find it weird that she always “winds up” before she turns (counter-twists her arms); it’s obviously a mental thing since she turns just fine on her own. I could only get my kids out of the “wind-up” habit by randomly yelling loud gibberish every time I saw them do it.
Isn't a slight twist in the torso acceptable? I know in Vaganova we're even trained to apply this sort of twist on the "&" count before we actually push into the turn. Personally, this small preparatory step has proven to be far more beneficial to me. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding. She might be using this technique a little more than she should, but I'd love to hear other opinions.
