Segmentation in Medical Images
Hi everyone!
Since 2011 when I finished my Graduate Course, was awakening in me an interest in Medical Image. My first job related to this area was in my Course Conclusion work (realized in group). This work is about segmentation in mammograms where the specialist doctor could choose an area in the mammography (approximately where the tumor was) after that, the active contour (with or without Artificial Intelligence) was responsible for interacted in this region and then contour the nodule. For example how it works, follow the pictures below:
The main technologies involved were: Java Platform, Active Contours (Snakes) and Artificial Intelligence (Genetic Algorithms). Maybe in this year, I intend to continue my studies in Medical Images and develop new strategies to improve the concepts about it. Now, letās study to gain knowledge and as soon as possible I will do new posts about my studies and the development of my work.
Hi everyone! Yesterday I finished my reading of Steve Jobs Biography. The book is really fantastic. Iām very impressed about the history of Steve Jobs and the companies that he coordinated with love, dedication and audacity like Apple (Co-founder) and Pixar (founder). Iām certainly that his legacy is very good for us and incredibly motivator. Iām very grateful to my best friend Emerson for this present that he give me in my b-day on 2012 rsrsrsrs...Ā I strongly recommend the reading of this book: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson! ;)
Experience in Campus Party Brazil 2016
Hi! I want to share with you my participation in Campus Party Brazil 2016. Campus Party is one of the biggest events of technology of the world and it was the 9ĀŖ edition in Brazil. Campus Party is responsible for bring us people of the many areas related to: IT, Casemods, Games, Robotics, Science, Social Media, Entertainment and a lot of things with the focus on Technology in general.
It was my 4ĀŖ participation and Iām very excited for the meetings, workshops, lectures and the opportunity to make networking (that is a powerful characteristic of the event). There are people of all Brazil and the knowledge of each ones making an excellent event with learning, change of experiences and sometimes partnerships in the future.
My focus in this edition was get more information, details and change experiences with people that work with development like me, learn a bit more about Arduino technology and participate of good lectures in other areas. But what surprise me beyond the content of my area, were the lectures and subjects that I could participate in the event.
Ā The mainly lectures that I could participate were:
- Development;
- DevOps;
- Wearables;
- Open Source Systems;
- Supermassive Black Hole;
- The life in the New Sensations Age;
The opportunity for participate of lectures like these are very small, because is difficult these panelists come to Brazil and talk to us innovations, curiosities and events related to area of them.
Beyond these activities that are designated for the particular public of the event, in the free area there are activities that include: Games, some lectures, workshops and an area designed to Startups, the Startups are growing a lot in Brazil and this is a way to connect the developer to investor.
There are some things I think that Campus Party can improve, but the important is that Campus Party organization is always improving his content, bringing important people and attractions for the next editions.
What I strongly recommend to you is: if you stay in Brazil during the period of Campus Party, enjoy this experience (link:http://brasil.campus-party.org/). The initial goals are very important for our success... Because this, Iām refreshing daily goals reference to my move to Canada. Iām very very excited to go to Canada, I think that I can get a good job in my area and enjoy this wonderful country and the city of Vancouver!
