Hello members and lurkers!

We have already let our members know, and we’d like to thank them again for staying dedicated, but we wanted to share this information with anyone else who might be interested.

Both of the admins are unable to keep up with this RP and continue to give it the attention it deserves due to personal reasons. However, we’d want nothing more than to see this RP continue to thrive. Therefore, we’re looking for new admin(s) who would want to continue to run this RP.

We’ll hand over the reins and give you access to the Google Drive and the account information for the main. If you have any questions or are uncertain about anything, we can also give you our personal accounts where you can find us! If you’re interested, send a message to the main and we’ll get things sorted out.

We’d love to see this RP continue on without us, and we have sincerely enjoyed writing with all our members. All of you are such talented writers, and we’d love to have the chance to write with you again.

I'm curious as to the activity, I really want to join, but I want to know that its' a good time to join.

Honestly, both of us (the admins) are looking for new people to run this RP, but if you have a character in mind who you are excited for, we wouldn’t stop you. Many of our active members are extremely dedicated and there are still interactions going on within the RP. Whether or not you choose to join is entirely up to your own discretion. We are going through a little difficulty, but we are also going through it, if you know what I mean.

As the agents continue to fight and retreat, the guests are piling into cars and vans to be taken away to a safe location. Some of the dignitaries are wounded; the British Ambassador to Sweden was shot and is in surgery for a bullet to the thigh, but other than that, most are unscathed. That’s good to hear. However we can’t really say that about the agents in the field tonight.

Of the casualties were Agent 23, found in the stairwell of the hotel by Agent 22 with his throat cut open, and Agent 14, shot and killed in the crossfires of getting the leaders to safety. Agent 51 was with their assigned leader and was not alerted of their niece’s death until they were back at HQ. Though they were not killed, it seems like Agent 83 was knocked unconscious after the mission started to go south.

As of now, it is still unclear as to what happened and what the motives were. Witnesses are currently being interviewed for any information that may be useful, however it can be assumed that the mission was compromised by a terrorist group.

Despite the drawbacks, the mission was deemed a success. Thank you for your hard work, agents.

While behind the scenes things are going haywire, the party is still in full swing. Guests are chatting and drinking freely as several agents watch—some unaware of what is happening outside of the ballroom. Elsewhere guns start to fire.

Several loud popping noises are heard over the soft tones of the orchestra in the hotel, but one of E.M.P.I.R.E.’s own can tell that the sounds are coming from the building over—where Agent 83 and Agent 52 are.

Time seems to stop when people start to notice what the sounds are, and suddenly a window breaks and smoke starts filling the room. Trained agents and security details start to scramble to their assigned dignitaries. Semi-automatic weapons start to sound the air as men and women start to scream.

Agent 52 is busy taking down the shooters in the hotel next door, and waves off what Agent 83 said about him going to investigate the rooftop when the first gunshots were heard. What Agent 52 doesn’t know is that someone was waiting on the roof to take down Agent 83 right when he burst through that door, knocking him out.

Admin Iris will be dropping her character Agent 31. Instead of reopening her character, we have decided to bring in a new one! Don’t worry—she’ll still be here to admin this roleplay behind the scenes, and you will still be able to contact her on Skype and through our OOC chats. Keep an eye out for the newest addition to E.M.P.I.R.E's staff as well.

We have decided that we will extend this event until June 16th at 11:59 PM EST, and officially make this a week long event. We have a few more things in store, so we wanted to give your characters enough time to react to what we have planned.

We were unable to accept last night, so we will accept today in a few hours or so. We apologize for the delay.

While doing his hourly rounds about the hotel, Agent 22 was using the stairwell to get from the second floor to the third floor when he noticed something dripping down onto the railing from above. At a closer look, he discovered that the dark liquid was actually blood. With his concealed weapon raised, Agent 22 climbed the stairs diligently before finding the corpse of none other than Agent 23. Agent 23 was lying in a pool of his own blood with his throat slashed open.

Agent 22 almost calls it in to the others when the walkie talkie next to Agent 23′s body sounds. Through it, Agent 22 hears a frantic voice ——

“05 to anyone. Please copy.”
