hello! yes! I have been MIA! I was visiting my mum and dad in BC! I was super busy with archival work! I did not have time to post!

I am now back in Montreal studying for my deferred exam— which means I will be back on my studyblr bs... yesterday was a big life-admin day for me in which I went running, meal prepped, bought groceries, basically cleaned the whole house, booked various appointments, unpacked, started an embroidery project & ate vegan Thai food with my roommate 😍😍 I just got back from running & now I’m planning on studying in a cafe. Later I’m going to the free symphony with some friends. best of luck to everyone today:)

Good morning everyone! After my spinning class this morning I headed to a cute coffee shop to get some work done. Left my computer at home to avoid distractions (aka Netflix). I have loaaaaads of reading to do but also bottomless coffee all day long so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

you don’t need to go to a prestigious university or an exclusive boarding school to get dark academia vibes. you can be a pretentious brooding scholar at your local public high school as well. leave books on renaissance paintings and ancient rituals open on library desks. write ominous notes in the margins of textbooks. quote byron on the bathroom stall door. wear an unmistakable scent of perfume, so when you enter a classroom, everyone knows that you’ve arrived. cut your hair in the sink of the science lab. slip roses into random lockers. surround yourself with a few number of close friends and form your own secret circle. gain a reputation. have whispers follow you down the hallways. I would, however, advise against murder.

Today started off super slow, but I made myself a double shot at 11 and got down to business and things just got better from there. Confirmed: coffee fixes everything. (Also, Bakhtin and I are friends now because I finally actually get what the dude is saying!! #blessd )

This week was very busy, but I’m happy with the work I did. I’m going home this weekend, and I’m looking forward to taking some time off from studying!
