The fact that Missandei died chained like a slave makes me unbelievably angry.
This was not a poetic death.
This was a treason to her character.
Sandor: “You’ve changed Little Bird. … None of it would have happened if you have left King’s Landing with me. No Littlefinger, no Ramsay, none of it.” Sansa: “Without Littlefinger, Ramsay, or the rest, I would have stayed a Little Bird all my life.”
Things I Think The Writers Meant: Sansa saw how cruel and ruthless the world is first hand — she adapted, she survived, she adjusted her world-view; she became better than those men, outlived them, and caused their death directly or indirectly. Sansa’s no bird, she’s a wolf.
Things The Writers Ended Up Saying Too: Women need to undergo trauma to grow. They need to be psychologically, physically, and sexually abused in order to become Strong Characters™. Cause clearly a safe environment would not have yielded a smart, strong, mature woman. It is known.
