This is the video that put me on to not only Marco Polo, but Frank Dukes and RichKid as well. It's an oldie, but still really dope. Peep the beat from Dukes at the 0:46 marker, pure flames.
Boston MC Justin Clancy spits it one time for ya mind. This flow, beat, and video are killin it.
Director Spike Lee shows never before seen footage of the King of Pop, the Late Michael Jackson in this documentary about the making of one of the greatest records ever produced, "Bad". Premiering on ABC Thanksgiving night, if you are a true fan of music, this is not something you will want to miss.
The God RZA released a stream for the entire Man With the Iron Fist soundtrack today. The album can’t be downloaded (legally) until Oct. 22nd, but you can listen to every track HERE. I’m about halfway through the record now, pure fire. Includes two tracks that feature all living members of the Clan!! Definitely peep!
The second release of Boston's own Termanology an MOP's Lil' Fame, "Play Dirty" featuring Styles P and Bustah Rhymes, produced by king DJ Premier.
I heard about Toronto producer RichKidd about 3 years ago from a Marco Polo producer showcase video. I was absolutely blown away with his futuristic style of production, and in-your-face drums. SonReal, on the other hand, I've never really heard of until today when their new collaborative album "The Closers" dropped. I'm midway through the album right now, and REALLY liking what I'm hearing. You guys should definitely check this out. You can stream the album here, or download on iTunes.
If you know about MadLib, you know that he brings the heat EVERY. TIME. Freddie Gibbs isn't really my style of MC, but over MadLib's heat you can't help but rock the head nod. The record still hasn't dropped yet, but I'm sure we can expect it within the next few months.

TUESDAY MORNING THROWBACK: Mase was seen as Puff Daddy's new protege in the late 90's after the passing of Biggie. While we all know Mase will probably never be looked at with the same love Biggie was, he was still a very big voice for Bad Boy records. In '97 he dropped his debut record "Harlem World", which released this song "What You Want" as its second single produced by The Hitmen and featuring the group Total (also known for singing the hook on Biggie's "Hypnotize").
This is over 2 years old, but I still watch/listen at least once a week. Fran is one of my favorite MC's in Boston, and a part of one of my favorite groups as well (The High Life). You can download the album this track is from, entitled "Greyscale" HERE.
Vinnie Paz of the legendary underground group Jedi Mind Tricks released a new track off his upcoming album "God of the Serengeti" (dropping Oct. 22nd) entitled "The Oracle" produced by the king DJ Premier. Beat, flow, and lyrics are NICE, not so sure about the video though. Still, very worth checking out.
Kendrick's first studio album drops one week from today, and with that in mind he has released 11 snippets on SoundCloud previewing the record. DEFINITELY check these out, and DEFINITELY cop this album when it comes out. The track "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" features my close friends and artists (you can hear the record we made together here), violin/viola duo Charly and Margaux. Get pumped!!
Purpose & Confidence ft. Alize Lugo - "Rain Drops"
One of my favorite MC's, the young God Apollo Knox spits a verse at the Wreck Shop cypher. His new mixtape "Doors Down" is dropping soon, so be on the lookout.
Newest track from Boston group Notoriety, produced by Tone Tracks. You can download the whole mixtape here, for everyone's favorite price of free99. Catch Notoriety at my next show at Wonderbar on November 4th!! Event page and more details HERE!
