I received feed back on my writing yesterday. Everyone was very positive. They enjoyed the darkness. They loved some of my imagery. They offered me great advice on how to improve & my tutor said she would help me with finding more feminine ways to describe violence when I told her I didn't want it to be a gory, almost masculine scene.

Super excited to go back and make more edits now!

 a little house nestled in the woods

a cold, quick stream running through the backyard 

a backyard garden full of wildflowers

a herb garden 

a fruit and vegetable garden-tomatoes, peas, peppers, blackberries, raspberries

peach and pear trees

a small pond that is home to a duck family

a chicken coop and room for them to roam

a rabbit hutch and a play area for them

a dock out back overlooking the water

a small boat

a white, wooden kitchen with big windows opening up onto the yard, herbs drying

a living room with whitewashed walls, whitewashed floors, a wood stove,

a pantry full of homemade jams, jellies, preserved fruit and other things

hundreds of books, and many soft couches and chairs

fireplaces in every room

a bedroom full of light, nature from every window angle, simple wooden furniture and flowers everywhere

bookshelves that push in to reveal a secret room

Last year I attempted NaNoWriMo. I managed to write one short story but never had time to write anything else.

This year I am studying for a Creative Writing MA. I'm going to channel the spirit of NaNoWriMo and try and write loads for my creative writing project. Then I can relax knowing I will just need to edit!
