Percy hums, used to question by now. She gets it quite a lot from both new and regular customers, but never really minds. “It depends on what you like,” she says with a polite smile. “We’re not that busy, tell me some of your favorite flavors and I’ll try to make something for you.”

“I like things that are more on the fruity side, or at least that is what I tend to lean towards.” Minh replied with a small shrug. She knew that probably wasn’t that much help. “I am not much of a drinker you see, so I don’t have a favorite go to or anything at this point. Which might be part fo the problem.”

“hmm,” jia hummed disapprovingly. it was precisely why she opted for a private chauffeur, and it was handy when there was never a free cab when you needed one. “you’re probably right.” she says giving the other a faux smile. truthfully she was irked about being held up by the driver. “good, well, i’ll let him get back to driving you home.” she says as she nods her head towards the driver up front before giving said driver a glare. “have a safe journey home.” she says to the young girl before she heads back to her own vehicle.

Minh wasn’t sure what to make of this entire situation. It was just pretty odd all around, and she felt bad that Jia thought they were holding up traffic on purpose.  “Well thank you, I appreciate it. Hopefully we will both get where we need to be soon.” Minh added as she knew that sometimes getting home after a hard day was the best feeling in the world.  “Have a safe journey as well.” She responded as she watch the other head back in the direction of her car.

“It is a rare thing, but as long as there are those that seek our destruction, it will never happen.” Though he can’t really complain, his kind like chaos and the idea of anything being harmonious almost made him sick to his stomach. “Ah, a witch. What role has your coven played in all this? With the small council?”

“I feel like unfortunately there is always going to be someone seeking destruction.” Minh said as it seemed people couldn’t figure out how to live in peace. People feared the unknown, and didn’t like people who were different. “We are just trying to help.” She added, as she felt that was the case for most people.

Minh sent the stranger a small smile as she saw them approach her on the street. “Would you like a cookie? We are handing them out as part of a promotion for Riverdale Diner. One free cookie for anyone who wants one.” She told him as she gestured to the options on the table in front of her.

“That really is a good thing to have, some people may see it as a burden and in a way it can be, but there are times where it really is helpful. I am like that with  my friends, I want to make sure that they are always safe no matter what.” 

Minh nodded at her statement, because that was something she agreed with.  “Some burdens are worth bearing.” She added, because Minh was always going to care about the people she loved, even when it was hard.

location : riverdale diner - early morning

Logan had arrived at the riverdale diner for an early breakfast. A little too early in fact as the diner hadn’t opened yet and there weren’t any signs of the staff here to open up. He’d waited in his car for a while until a few people showed and opened up and then he made his way inside. His stomach grumbled, as he took a seat in a booth and browsed the menu.

Minh loved working early shifts as it often wasn’t overly busy and there was no need to run around without having a chance to breathe. She took a pen and some paper and walked over to Logan’s table with a smile. “Are you ready to order or could you still use a few minutes?” Minh asked, unsure if he’d figured things out or not.

“What do you recommend?”  Minh asked the bartender as she wasn’t a huge drinker and didn’t know what to get. She had just been in the mood to try something new, so coming here seemed like the best bet for her. She hadn’t realized that she didn’t know really any of the drinks here. Minh felt out of her element.

Minh had been pretty busy lately, but she was excited to see her friend as she hadn’t in a while. She felt Nish understood her in a way a lot of people didn’t, likely because he’d taken the time to get past her shyness. When she spotted the older man, she sent him a huge smile. “I’m so glad to see you.”

Minh was walking the streets on her way to do some errands. She had a million bags in her hands and then just as she tried to stop one from falling it slipped from her fingertips and the contents spilled to the ground. She saw one of her items roll directly under someone’s foot. “Stop please.”  She called out as she rushed to try to grab the detailing brushes she’d bought.

“I think it is only natural to worry about things, I tend to do that alot myself, especially if you are worried about people it means that you really care about them, which is a very good quality to have.”

“I guess that is true.” Minh replied with a small nod. Sometimes she wished she just didn’t worry so much, as it stopped her from enjoying herself. “I just like knowing that people are going to be okay.”

“Sweetie,” she says condescendingly as the window is rolled down. “What is your driver doing?” she says shaking her heads and clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth in annoyance before directing a glare in the drivers direction. “You need to get this young girl home and stop holding up all the traffic.” she says pointing a finger towards the cab driver before turning her attention back to the passenger in the back. “New York cabbies.” she says rolling her eyes. “Don’t allow him to over charge you for his unnecessary snail pace.”

Based on the strangers tone, Minh was worried for a moment that she was going to start yelling at her. It wouldn’t be the first time that someone in this city was mad at her for something that she didn’t have any control over. “I think cabbies everywhere are probably the same.” She added with a small shrug as ultimately they were people who were trying to make money for the business that they worked for. Minh nodded her head at the other’s advice. “Most definitely, I am sure I will get home as fast as I can now.”

“Oh that would be the best, even when I was back home there were times where we had to leave early, although that was just due to somebody being clumsy and nothing else.”

“I think I am just a natural worrier, so I’ll probably never get to the point where I am not worrying about something.”  Minh replied with a small sigh.

“You don’t say,” he responds, leaning closer. “Funny how that works. Each one of us that is different is capable of bringing this city down to it’s knees, yet we play nice and by the rules. And look where that’s gotten us,” He glances around the park, taking in every oblivious human as they walk around. “They should be worshipping us like kings…and queens,” He adds, smiling at the other. “So tell me, little one, what makes you different?”

“I’d like to think everyone can live in harmony, but sometimes it seems impossible.” Minh replied with a shake of her head. The way she saw it, it had to be someone who knew about the supernatural and had access to a witch that was causing problems. Minh was quite certain of that fact based on the events that had happened in the last few months. “I’m part of the Lux Coven.”

“i completely agree, it was a nice change.” the past few months had been a whirlwind for everyone. hell .. the past seven years had been a whirlwind for him. “i had a fun night, the unlimited bar was a nice touch. i’m sure everyone else would agree with me.” he gives a chuckle. 

Minh nodded as pretty much any change would be a nice change at this point. “I am just glad that the night was pretty boring in that sense. Which I am completely fine with.” She added as it was more than fine with Minh.  “That is very true. There are very few people who turn down new drinks.”

“I honestly wished that we could too, it honestly would be nice to go out somewhere and not having something happening that would cause the night to be cut short if you know what I mean.”She explained softly to her.

Minh nodded at the other as she understood entirely. “Exactly, it would be nice to go out somewhere and not need to worry about something happening. Even if just once, but ideally all the time.”

His smile back to her was genuine as he had a small water dew dance in between his wiggling fingers. “You grow to enjoy all things danger and risk when you’ve walked on this earth as long as I have.” At least, one did when they were huli jings. They were agents of all things chaos and mischief, and Jin never once fought what they were born to do. They give her a look of interest. “You seem to be caught up on recent events here,” He notices. “I’ve just moved here myself, care to fill me in?”

“I guess I cannot relate.” Minh told him as she thought she’d never get to the point where she enjoyed danger. She hated feeling like something was going to happen, and had developed anxiety about it. Minh hated feeling like she was living in fear, but lately that had been the reality. “It’s just not the safest time to be different around here. Bad things seem to happen to people who are.” She explained as Minh felt that nearly every bad thing to happen had targeted the supernatural community.

Jia was becoming increasingly frustrated as traffic wasn’t moving through Manhattan and she would be late for an appointment. She sat in the back, phone in hand typing rapidly as she fired of emails, the occasional sigh escaping her as every time she looked up from her phone, she noticed that the car had barely moved. The driver sensed her frustration, apologising for the delay, but it did little to ease her annoyance. She looks ahead seeing how the car in front wasn’t moving whilst the cars ahead where now some distance away and this person was holding up everyone behind them. In the middle of the street Jia steps out of the car, walking over to the vehicle in front and tapping on their window to get their attention. She wasn’t pleased, and had a few words to say to the other.

Minh had decided to take a cab home today mostly as she hadn’t been in the mood to walk after what had been a really difficult shift. Unsurprisingly to her, the traffic was pretty bad. There was a lot of stopping and starting, and it seemed they were not really going anywhere. Minh wasn’t in an overly big hurry so she wasn’t too concerned. However, that did not seem to be the case with the person who was now tapping on her window next to where she was seated.  She rolled down the window and sent Jia a small smile, unsure how she was supposed to react to what was such a strange situation. “Can I help you with something?”
