here are just a bunch of christmas themed starters that i could come up with. they’re all kinds of genres. they can be interpreted as angsty, sad, smutty– whatever you wish.

he doesn’t really have much of a choice. she isn’t asking him to do anything wildly out of character, and teddy is and always will be subject to the whims of each and every newcomer that demands his attention. it’s no way to live, but he isn’t really living. ( or so they all tell themselves, but what else is it when you have a whole lifetime behind you and hopes and dreams and aspirations for your future? why is he not alive simply because he follows their script? he still thinks. he still feels. he still is. )

    ‘ depends. how far out d’you wanna go? ain’t the safest once you get past the river, got all kinds of awful folks who’d wanna do awful things if you let ’em. ’

“As far as you’re willing to take me. And if we don’t come across them by then, well...I’m sure I can find my own way.” Somewhat. She had never been to the outer reaches of the park before, but she couldn’t imagine they were THAT awful. 

Or maybe they were? Maybe that was what drew Logan to them? If that was the case, then she definitely needed to catch up to her brother and fiance. She was not going to let Logan put William through whatever twisted game he was attempting to play. William was hers and she would get him back.

Boston? The question soon dissolved from her mind as she looked back with a wider grin. Something in her head humored to play along with it, guessing it had just been another town she hadn’t been to.

“We all take a tumble now and then,” she watched as the girl got up, hoping that she wasn’t too hurt. “But what matters is if ya get back up ‘gain or not. I can see ya’re a fighter,” a soft giggle followed before she hovered her shoulder under the woman again, shuffling the weight the best she could. There had been a few too many drunken nights she had to help her father back up to his bed and his weight definitely was a bit heavier than this.

“Maybe we should take ya to see the doctor. Looks like old missy here might have done a pretty big number to ya today.”

“Oh, no. No no no. There’s no need to bother the doctor. I’m sure I just rolled it wrong. Give me a little bit to walk it off and I’ll be as good as new.” Or so she was hoping. Seeing the town doctor would only prolong her embarrassing her lack of grace and well...what if they decided to splint it? Or cast it? She hardly wanted to spend her vacation limping about.

William was nothing like any of the other men in Juliet’s life, himself and Logan included, and Nate could see that it was good for her. Though, if you asked Nate, it was the nice guys you had to watch out for. He never believed that a person could be without flaws.

“You know that nothing is more tempting to Logan than someone being off limits.”

Well, no. But sometimes people’s flaws were simply that they listened to NPR. Or put ketchup on their eggs. And Juliet was fairly certain that William’s flaws were on par with those. He hardly seemed the type to have a secret alter ego.

Right?

“I know. I know. And it’s not often I declare something off limits. Normally, I am all about sharing with Logan.” At least when it came to sexual partners. “But William...we’re getting married. He needs to be mine and mine alone. And Logan needs to respect that.”

“Corporate?” If the woman before her wasn’t a guest, then Juliet’s next guess was that she was a part of the company. After all, she didn’t much look like a programmer. Or a technician. “I suppose for you all, visiting the park doesn’t have the same...draw...that it has for us. After all, I’d hardly want to vacation in our boardroom.”
