Handing the Reins Over
“Magister Zeniren?”
The deep smooth yet slightly raspy voice of the warrior spoke out as the heavy plated hand knocked on the door. After just a moment, the door opened and there was a small young woman. One the warrior had truly never met before. “U-uhm..hello. Can I help you?” She spoke out. It was Amelia. A long time friend of Arimm and Zenirens girlfriend.
“I’m here to speak with Magister Zeniren. Is he around?” The single eye of the warrior peeked in the house. It was very large and very well kept from what he could see. Amelia smiled and nodded, having the feeling she had seen this man and Zeniren speak before. She backed away, opening the door for the warrior and closed it behind him.
"He’s in the office right over there looking over some things. Would…you like anything to drink?“ The young woman asked almost shyly. Zathorin shook his head, waving a hand at the young woman. "No thank you.” Was all he said as he started to make his way to the Magisters office.
A hard knock was given on the door and the door seemed to already be open. “Magister Zeniren?” Zath called out as he started to open the door. He looked forward at the desk, seeing Zeniren sitting there reading over some papers. “Hmm? Oh Zathy! Oh come in, come in!” Zeniren said standing up quickly, motioning to the chair in front of the desk.
Zathorin was still not quite use to Zenirens outlandish personality. He said nothing as he sat down, that emotionless look as usual on his face. That single eye looked at the older Sin'dorei as Zeniren sat down. “I was not expecting you, Zathy. If I knew you were stopping by, I would have made something to eat for you or something. I was just looking over some maps of Draenor for the…” Zeniren paused, looking at Zathorin over his glasses.
Zath nodded, peering on the table at the maps. He saw small little red X’s over certain areas of a Talador map, but no other part of Draenor had those red X’s. “Those are the camps that were destroyed?” Zath asked, sitting forward in his chair. Zeniren nodded slowly. “I’m afraid so. But for some reason, it’s been a little quiet recently. I have made trips to Talador myself and have yet to see anymore camps destroyed. It’s as if whatever or whoever was doing this just..vanished. It’s releaving yet concerning at the same time.”
Zathorin gave a heavy sigh, closing that one eye. “So we won’t know where it will strike next…” He said with an annoyed tone. He sat back, crossing those heavy arms over his chest. Zeniren nodded and sat back in his own chair, slipping those glasses from the bridge of his nose, setting them on the table. “Afraid so.” A long pause was left from the two. Zeniren sat forward, looking at Zathorin with a smile. “But enough of that! I know you didn’t come all the way here just to have -me- tell you something so dreadful. What is you need Zathy? Tell me tell me! It’s plastured all over your face.”
Zathorin rose a brow at the Magister but quickly shook his head, nodding at the man. “It’s about the Vanguard. The one I tried to form to help against the Iron Horde” Zeniren quickly nodded with a smile. “Yes, of course! Is something wrong?” A hint of worry filled the mans voice as he tilted his head slightly at the warrior. Zathorin looked away for just a moment before letting out a heavy sigh. “It fell apart. People didn’t seem to see eye to eye with some other members and they parted ways. So, now it’s just..a few members left who didn’t want to leave.”
Zeniren frowned at the news. He shifted himself in his seat slightly, his fingers locking together resting on the desk. “Oh dear..I am so sorry Zathorin. In a case like this, all you can do is hope for the best for said people. Pray that they are safe in wherever they choose to lead themselves. Sadly things like that happen. All you can do is try and rebuild from where you are left at.” Zathorin finally opened that one single eye, now looking at the Magister as he spoke. Slowly he nodded at the mans words but shook his head. “Some of them can just…” A low growl left the warriors lips. His right hand tightened into a fist.
Zeniren nodded at the mans anger. “I understand Zath. Sadly with people like that you cannot do anything but hope the door doesn’t smack their ass on the way out.” A small chuckle left the Magisters lips. After a long moment, Zaths anger finally subsided. He looked to the man in front of him and sat forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “I need to hand this Vanguard name off to someone else. I cannot deal with being fully in charge of something like this right now. Such a name needs to be in the hands of someone who can put it to use. Use to help people where it can be needed.” Zathorin said in a calmer tone, his eye never leaving the magister Zeniren watched and listened to Zathorin as he spoke, nodding every now and then at the mans words. “Right now, Kestriena my wife is pregnant. I’ve also been having problems with…certain things. The moons of Draenor are tampering heavily with the blood that is mixed in me compared to Azeroth.” The warrior shook his head slowly with a long pause. “I cannot deal with such a high positon as a leader right now. I want to hand this off to you. I know there is something -you- can do with it.”
Zeniren’s eyes widened slightly at the mans words. The words of handing the name Nocturnal Vanguard over to the Magister. This was a big deal. Zeniren had ideas of doing something to help those who might need aid, a teaching or something similar, but to actually have the chance to do so? It caused the man to grin widely. “Are you sure you want to hand such a thing off to me? I mean..I do have use for it, but I just want to make sure-” Zeniren was cut off by the warrior. “Yes, Magister. I am sure. If you wish I can still be involved with it. I actually would prefer it. But you can do with the name as you wish. Make an Academy or something.”
Zathorin stood up, walking towards the door as he spoke. Zeniren just grinned even more at the man as Zath mentioned an Academy. He giggled on the inside like a school child. He quickly turned to the large window behind his desk, hearing the door to his office close behind the warrior. “Oh this amazing! The Nocturnal Vanguard Academy! Finally I can live my dream!!”
