to be clear since this is making the rounds: she has to be an absolute loser in no way that can be pinned on her gender. no "i'm just a girl tee-hee" stuff. straight up just a loser (nondenominational)

I decided to sit down and concentrate and properly write the list of rules that qualify a character for this role.

FIRST LAW: This character must be a woman.

SECOND LAW: This character must be a loser, but not in a way that can be pinned on her gender. Misogynistic response from the audience does not disqualify the character.

THIRD LAW: If the audience does not enjoy this character, then it becomes impossible to enjoy the show/film/book/game altogether. It is not possible to ignore this character, for better or for worse.

FOURTH LAW: The character must make bad decisions, and not just be a victim of poor circumstances outside of her control. The character can also be a victim of poor circumstances outside of her control, but it has to be primarily her personal choices that deem her a loser.

today is july 16th for me, which means...

it's me and rocket's 3 year anniversary!

i don't usually gush out of fear, but today's pretty special :]

my rocket love was reawakened at the right time, i'm so glad i got to celebrate us today! it happened because like 2 weeks ago, my mom put on GOTG vol. 3 while we were cooking and i was staring at rocket while stirring... oguhoguh

for celebration, i rewatched GOTG vol. 2 last night! and the drawing isn't much, but i pulled my right arm muscles really bad so this is all i got LOL

rocket............ where do i even begin. he's helped me through so much, especially lately. i would have ripped out all of my hair from the stress if it wasn't for him. on the bright side, i think it's getting better, but i'm glad rocket was here to walk me through this final push. i'm sure it looks silly to see me say the "space raccoon who likes to blow up moons" helped me but he genuinely did and i know he's helped so many others too.

i also love how every variant of rocket has something different to offer yet they're all so... Him. he's just a legendary character to me... marvel you DID THAT!

he just means so much to me auuguuhh....

I thought I was alone with the whole self ship / OC thing when it comes to IWTV. Thank you! I feel less alone now. (I don't self ship myself, but I make OCs and put them in the IWTV world. My point still stands.)

this is awesome! because when i first got into IWTV almost 2 months ago now, i felt like i was the ONLY selfshipper / oc x canon enjoyer until i found more of us recently and YES we are so awesome. i’m so glad you feel less alone because that is the most comforting feeling to me in my opinion!

i think it’s easy for us to feel alone in this fandom specifically since romance is a huge theme of this show and revolves around multiple canon x canon ships, which is Not me hating, in fact i love the characters interactions with each other romantic and platonic, but it did intimidate me a bit joining the fandom as a selfshipper because of that.

OC X CANON IS JUST AS AWESOME AS SELFSHIPPING! yeah i see oc x canon as going under the selfshipping umbrella (or selfshipping going under the oc x canon umbrella 😲) i’ve selfshipped all my life but there was a few years there where i was crazy into oc x canon until i eventually went back to just inserting myself, but either way it’s SO fun

it's so incredibly important to me that i always make the reader reach for armand first. Always. this can be read as submission, but there's really much more to it. physicality in relation to armand is imperative for me. there is a profound trust in allowing someone's hand to meet your skin, but i believe the same can be said for someone willingly seeking you out in the midst of everything. to choose you, to watch them extend the hand first. exquisite devastation in realizing they trust you enough to bring you inward, to hold, to want. especially when it's always been you who has had to reach first. to ask, please, please. i swear if you just want me, i could be all you ever needed. don't leave. pulling closer, locking them inside yourself, a desperate and demanding child trapped in a body that you've never caught up with.

he doesn't need to do this. there's no need for games; inverting, reinventing and rearranging himself. he can simply be. in all those variations, in the multicoloured stitching he's used to become different people for others, in the uncertainty of which face is truly his own, the hunger and rage, reader will always offer him their hand first.

i was originally gonna put all of this in the tags but i wanna say it with my whole chest. this is so beautiful and you can tell that you understand armand and what he desires perfectly. i no joke think about this exact scenario a lot so the fact that you took the same concept i dream of constantly and formed it into these delicious paragraphs… made my whole ass morning like Wow Life is so Beautiful ❤️❤️
