I reposted a post from @stoptrappingourtrails and had some questions about how and why Trails are being trapped. I'm reposting another of their pics of some nasty work found. . WHY ARE WE HERE? . As our previous post mentioned, likely highlighted by the huge increase in bike sales recently, these are just a few examples of the types of traps we are seeing reported. . Felled tree trucks, branches and wires suspended between trees at head height, angled nails scattered across tracks and upright nails planted in tree roots! . These are not just designed to ruin your day outdoors, these have the potential to seriously maim or, God forbid, even kill. . @stoptrappingourtrails are here to raise awareness of these man made dangers, to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience on two wheels and above all, to try and put an end to this disgusting behaviour. We will do this by working closely with trails centres, local commissions and authorities up and down the country. .
