Okay guys, it looks like the original version of Yuzu from the exe still works, but the maintenance tool is broken. Hopefully, just pulling and using it directly into the AppsData will be able to make it work for others. For now, I can still run the game and therefore, run tests, so I will resume work on the game.

Update 3/7/24

Sad news today.

I just learned about the Yuzu / Nintendo falling lawsuit and ending support of the emulator. Which, unfortunately, is the only platform I have for the translation project. I don't really know how to make it work on homebrew (whatever it's called), which means, at the moment, the project is stalled. Not so much that I'm not working on it. I just don't know what this actually means for it. After all, if no one can download or use Yuzu, I'm not really sure how I'm going to release it. As of now, I believe it still works, so I will double check that when I get the chance. In the meantime, I will continue working on what I can and look into alternatives if possible. I'll be open to suggestions if anyone has them.

Update 11/22/2023

As we come to the end of the year, I just wanted to reach out and thank everyone who has stuck with me through this journey. I have almost finished Anubis, and am moving into Thoth which is the final route. After that, there are some misc translations, story extras, so on before I will consider moving into the next game. My question to everyone at this point is this. What does everyone want as far as this game? I do not want to release an unfinished product, but as I have had no luck in finding any help with the proofing, I am seeing a possible future with a game that is fully translated and never released. As all of this is for you guys, I would like to put this to a vote. What do we want to do? Release without proof (I did my best, so it should be followable, even if not perfect). Or hold out until I can hopefully one day get some help (or a release, depending on how things go. Thoughts?

Don’t know if you’re awar but the tumblr sweetremiks-blog has KamiAso translations that can be utilised by others if you give them credit according to what I assume to be the most recent post by them (blog url is - sweetremiks-blog. tumblr. com - without the spaces of course) a link to their translations page is in the post I mentioned as well. Don’t know if this is of any use to you or if you’re already aware of it but figured it wouldn’t hurt to mention anyway.

Yes, I am aware and have utilized (and made a few alterations for localization purposes) all of those. Everything else I have done myself.

Hi, are you publishing your translations somewhere or waiting with them till full 'clear' od game ? - ( Im starting my own translations too but idk japanese kanji so basically im translating what can i hear only + making video edition. Thought it would be helpfull to not do 2 same things)

They aren't being published openly for a number of reasons (the biggest of which being that I don't trust them and don't want people running off thinking my amateurish work is correct). Feel free to reach out if you want to compare notes or work though. I have not given up on this project.

Hey guys,

Still at it. I am about 30% finished with Anubis' route, and 3% finished with Thoth. The bara bara stuff is driving me crazy, so I am bouncing between the two routes for my own sanity.

After that, there is the story extras, and those I've been working on in between. Then, there is music titles (yes, even THAT has translations. sigh). Either way, I'm soldiering through it, with my free-time learning and trusty dictionary lol. Anyone who knows anybody interested in proofreading, please reach out. Even if it's just a few lines every couple of days. Every little bit helps!

Everyone!

Okay, so my announcement regarding the game's hiatus may have been taken the wrong way. A few people have hit the panic button and messaged me on different platforms, so I want to clear the air and reassure everyone. I have not, I repeat have not given up the project. I am simply putting my patch on pause for release until I can get proofreaders, because I refuse to release a half-done product.

In the meantime, I am also looking into alternatives, including reaching out to companies for an official release. That being said, I am still translating the game. Anubis' route is, as of this writing, 20% translated. I just cannot release until everything has been proofed. Hopefully that clears up any misunderstandings for everyone.

Back to the grind!

Hey guys,

Okay, so here’s the deal. The game is on hiatus until I can find proofreaders, but I want everyone to know that it isn’t over. At this point, I am thinking of reaching out to some companies to suggest considering the game for localization. Obviously, they aren’t going to come out and say it, but these emails do reach them, so maybe I can hand over what I’ve done or something. It’s happened in the past, but it’s still a longshot considering the game’s creator. In the event that any progress is made, I won’t be updating on it due to legal reasons, but I just wanted everyone to know what I’m up to. I’m not giving up on this. Until next time, guys. Sure thing! Any help is appreciated!! At the moment, I am basically stalled until I can get proofreaders. I generally put in a couple hours a day translating, but there really wasn't much point anymore since I couldn't go further. :(

Announcement

Hey all!

Just checking in to let everyone know that the project has not been cancelled. I have however, stepped away for a brief time due to a lack of proofreaders, which has stalled my progress. That being said, I wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone that Jack Jeanne is arriving tomorrow for the Nintendo Switch. This will be the first game by Broccoli releasing on Western shores. I wanted to mention this in case anyone was unaware. If you are interested in the game, please consider supporting it if you are able. Doing so might convince them to bring over the other games as well, which include Kamigami no Asobi. While it would be heartbreaking to have to cancel the project, I would be overjoyed if the game could come over officially! Anyway, that is all. Back to the grind! :)

Update 5/18/2023

Yikes. Okay, so here’s the deal. I got really, REALLY sick, and was knocked out of commission for like 3 weeks. But, I’m back now and still working on the project as much as I can. Still in need of proofreaders, have started translating some monologues, and Anubis’ route. Along with testing and a few UI, everything is moving along. I can proudly say that Apollon’s route is about 21% finished!

How much time would it take to be a proofreader? Cause I'd love to help, but as I'm a student I don't have much free time...

Free time is preferred, since I'm working on this thing about 3 - 4 hours a day, but any help is appreciated. The biggest thing is being fluent in English and having a high-level understanding of the Japanese language.

This is it, guys! The final split is done. Heading into the first character route and moving fast! Still in desperate need of proofreaders for the translations I have finished up to this point, including the mythology monologues that I just located. Will start looking into alternatives if none are found. Either way, let’s do this. Full speed ahead!

Update 3/29/23

Oof... Yeah, I told you guys I’m not good at social media. lol But I do have some good news! I had to pause for a little bit because I got really sick, and I am still in need of proofreaders. However, I just finished the club activities section and am now moving into the sports festival. This is the last split before the individual character routes, which means we are almost 1/4 of the way there! :D UI is looking good, testing is going great, and I am feeling really good about this. Just wanted to let everybody in on how we’re doing. Happy Wednesday!
