I imagine he’d be pretty caught off guard by it. the memory of cooking with his mother would hit him almost immediately. of course, he'd still crack jokes and ask if you're trying to poison him so you can take over the store :D at first, though, he probably wouldn’t accept the food at all ("I'm not eating mystery slop from your kitchen."). he can't accept it too eagerly, because then he'd risk exposing how badly he wants that kind of affection. MC would have to be persistent before he finally gives in… and then maybe realizes the food is actually really good.

after that, you'd just start seeing him materialize near MC at lunch like some aggressive stray cat ("Did you make that thing again."), not asking you politely, just kind of demanding it from now on àla 'gimme the food I like so much' 😄
