re the blue girl: tbh I find it deeply infantalizing to basically say that just because someone was traumatized/abused they can't be held accountable for bigotry. very much using what happened to someone to deny them agency (specifically her but also any abused person who generalizes and turns their hurt outward onto a full community instead of just at the person(s) who harmed them) in being capable of making mistakes and needing to learn to do/be better. people definitely shouldn't harass or try to shame her for it (least of all bc shame is a terrible motivator), but abused or not, people are accountable for their actions and the things they choose to say in the wake of the things that happen to them

i just have little sympathy for her because i was literally in certainly a worse position she was with my trans ex girlfriend and i didnt start hating all trans women because of it. also shes certainly getting way more support than i got both when i came out about it and for the past 3 years of living with that trauma. like im sorry you were abused, that sucks and like trust me ive been there, you dont get to be bigotted though

a lot of conversations surrounding trans men having male privilege made me realize just how Eurocentric and white most people's view of trans people is, because it doesn't take into account so many countries where women are prohibited from pursuing education, refused independency or forced into child marriages.

male privilege does not save transmasculine people from violent misogyny, it is not a get out of jail card, and so the rights of transmasculine bodies are tied to women's rights. and if to gain access to male privilege you first have to be allowed bodily autonomy and then be legally and socially recognized as a man is it really a privilege at all?

Weirdly enough, ever since I was very little, I knew I liked guys in a way that was different than the love typical of women and girls. I found something inherently "queer" about my attraction to men, even though I myself was supposed to be a girl.

Realising I'm gay and trans has actually been the missing puzzle piece to this disconnect between my identity and how I felt with regards to my attraction to men that I needed to find. Realising I could just be a gay man, that that was an option, was relieving to me in the most exciting way possible. I felt like my attraction to men was queer because it was queer.
