((This is a blog for the Mushroom Gazette, a 'newspaper' that I make that covers the roleplays of various Nintendo characters, especially from the Mario franchise. If you would like your roleplay to have an article, please give me a link. If your roleplay has no Nintendo characters, I probably will not cover it. I'll also interview various Mario characters. "So, I've heard some people ask about this, and I've decided to put it up to a vote. Which of the princesses of the Mushroom World are your favorites?"

Hmm maybe you should ask your readers who they think is the most popular princess.

"That’s a very good idea, actually! I’ll get right to it!"

That's fine, like I care about people knowin' that I stole their stuff, they shoulda' kept their pockets closer to them, see? Ol' Popple can sniff out treasure from over the ocean! The only thing that I can think of that I stole recently was a ruby in the BeanBean market place, that baby oughta land me loads of cash!

"I see! Have you been up to anything else lately? Oh, and quick! Tell me! Where is your secret hideout?" It probably wouldn’t work, but it was worth a try.

Did you know there's a rumour that Bowser would save himself before his own child? Can you confirm if that's true?

The reporter’s expression brightened at the new rumor. “There is? I’ll have to look into that! Thank you for telling me!" This could make a great article! … If she could manage to get the information out of Bowser.

Boo! That old dame got into the papers with old green hat before I did!? What a load of hooey! And yeah... my name is Popple the Shadow Thief, looks like I'm more notorious than I thought, but of course I would be! And... I guess ya could take a bit of my valuable time..

Her dark green eyes shone brightly at the prospect of another interview. “Just so you know, anything that you say might be published in the Mushroom Gazette. Anyways, have you stolen anything interesting lately?"

"Listen here and'a listen good wimp! You'a either cancel dat article right'a here and'a right'a now otherwise I'lla see too eet dat your'a next exclusive interview will'a be with'a my fist! Are'a we clear?!?" he threatened, his face pressed up against hers

The reporter was getting very annoyed at this point. "You listen to me! If you attempt to assault me, the Gazette will be able to sue you, and for quite a bit! I assure you that we have very good lawyers, too! Trust me, you don’t want to mess with me, or you’ll get into a whole legal mess!"

"You're really chargin' de superstar Wario for'a one measly newspaper? Well eef'a you're gonna be like'a dat den I'a refuse for'a you to print dat article!" He stuck his tongue at the reporter, like a big kid would

"I’m afraid that there’s nothing stopping me from printing the article. Freedom of the press, you know. We’ll be printing the article. If you have a problem with that, you can file a complaint, but seeing the nature of your complaint, I wouldn’t expect much." She frowned a bit. He really expected her to cancel the article just because she wouldn’t give him a free issue?

"10 COINS? dat'sa highway robbery!" He spluttered, hamming up the act. The price wasn;t really that outrageous, but he was damned if he was going to pay full price! "how can;a you sleep at;a night knowin' you'rea rippin' people off huh?"

The reporter looked at him skeptically. “Actually, that’s less than most newspapers charge. I’m afraid I really cannot give you a discount. Anyways, surely one such as yourself has plenty of money to spare?"

I had'a better be on'a de front cover! I'lla be waitin for'a my free issue to'a be delievered for'a doin' dis interview!" he demanded, feeling owed for his time.

"Well, about that… I’m afraid that our policy states that we cannot give out free issues, even to important people such as yourself. We can, however, allow you to subscribe to our newspaper, and have the papers delivered straight to you, for a minimal fee of 10 coins a month."

"Complaints? as'a een from'a de customers? Nah we haven't had any of'a dose. Our'a games are'a de best sellin' ones een'a all of'a Diamond City!" He boasted, proud of his companies sales records

"Oh. I see." Well, that was a bit disappointing, but she already had enough information to write a very good article. “Thank you for your time. I’ll be sure to tell you when the news article is published!"

"It moves in an orbit, so it's quite easy to track! On occasions we do veer off of our usual route, but we always get back into our usual course."

"I should be able to figure something out! Here, can you write down the details of the orbit, and where it will be at what dates? That should be enough information to arrange something." She handed her clipboard to Rosalina, along with her pen.

"Oh workin' conditions are'a excellent! I take'a as many breaks as'a I like for snacks, naps, and'a when'a dere's somethin good on'a TV! And'a we have'a some of'a de best'a caterin' ever since we have Mona Pizza on'a speed-dial" he stated proudly, missing the point of the question somewhat...

"I, well… Anyways, have you ever received any complaints about your company? In which case, did you attempt to fix the problem in question?" This was perfect! Wario was an underpaying slacker who neglected to even give out the paychecks!

"Well you know how'a de corporate'a world ees, and'a de economy bein' de way eet'a ees and'a everythin', I'a figure dat I can'a minimalize costs by'a not payin' de staff. Eet'a ensures maximum profits! Wah Ha Ha" He smirked, giving a thumbs up

"I see." The reporter barely managed to avoid frowning slightly. “What about the working conditions? How are they? Is everything safe?"

"My'a employees? Dey'rea all my pals, so of'a course I like'a dem! Of course, I'a know dat de buisnoose world can'a be a cut-thraot enviroment, so'a to combat dat I'a dock everyones'a pay to'a bumpkiss equally! Wah Ha Ha!" He chortled, proud of his 'money-saving' scheme

"Hmm… And I’ve heard rumors that you haven’t been giving at least some of your employees their paychecks? Would you care to verify?" This could turn out to be literary gold! Everyone would want to hear about it if Wario was treating his employees badly!

"Ventures? None that are-a well-known, but I did defeat-a Boolossus twice, and-a three times with Chauncey. I also-a went to another kingdom, and got rid of some-a goombas there." she scratched the back of her head. "Not-a much, but the little things-a count!"

"Indeed, they do!" She finished writing down what Elizabeth had said, and looked back at Elizabeth again. “Thank you for you time! Your responses will be published in the Mushroom Gazette!"

"Oh, well isn't this nice? I suppose it'd be much easier for me to stay in the loop with the Mushroom Kingdom with a newspaper." Rosalina mused. She would have liked to visit the Kingdom more often, but she always had intergalactic matters to attend to. Reading about it would be the next best thing. "Though I'd have to find a way to get it delivered to the Observatory..."

"I’m sure we can find a way to deliver the Gazette to you! We never fail to deliver our paper, after all! Now, you said that the Observatory is in space? Does it move around, or does it have exact coordinates?"

Personal Headcanon: The reporter is the girl from the Rhythm Heaven Fever mini-game Ringside.

((It's an interesting idea, but I looked it up, since I know nothing about Rhythm Heaven Fever, and the girl's hair seems to be more of a light brown, and she doesn't have green eyes. Plus, the reporter comes from the Mushroom Kingdom, and I'm pretty sure that girl doesn't. It was a good thought, though.))
