Just because Nikki Reed is acting all cool with it does not mean what Ian Somerhalder did was ok. Yeah, I’m sure they both talked about it together after he revealed he threw out the birth control pills and came to an understanding yada yada yada that’s not the point. The point isn’t whether Nikki consented in the end to be impregnated or not, which from what I can tell she did. It’s the blatant presumptuousness (even Nikki called it presumptuous) with which a man decided to take his partner’s fertility and reproductive choice into his own hands and thought the best way to communicate that he had decided that now was the best time to have kids was by throwing away her freakin birth control without her permission.

Keep in mind, Ian was the one who wanted to have kids, being older than her and wanting to have kids sooner, and Nikki was on the fence about it until after he did that and until after she had a like 6 minute freak out when she found out her pills were gone. 

This whole story is extremely gross and not cute. It’s misogyny.

10 Books to read in 2018 if you haven’t read them, yet

2018 has just started and it feels like it’s gonna be a long year, in the meantime I just realized I haven’t been recommending some good reads/books since...ever. And why just recommend great bestsellers books when I can simply just give you some advice on peculiar books?

 I thought I might be just starting now:

1: Hunger (a Memoir of my Body) by Roxane Gay (a deep, moving read)

2: Literally Anything written by Kathryn Harrison

3: Identical by Ellen Hopkins (it brought tears to my eyes)

4: The Power by Naomi Alderman

5: The Vegetarian by Han Kang

6: Once is not Enough by Jacqueline Susann

7: Confessions of a Sociopath by M.E Thomas (apparently a fictional name)

8: Anything by Arthur Schnitzler

9: The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson (empowering!)

10: Man’s search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl (believe me you don’t want to miss it)

What about the good old America 🇺🇸? This history book written by Bill Bryson focuses on a particular moment in history that takes place in the USA, the author makes sure that this reading will be gripping and avoids to get the readers bored.

Happy Book Lovers Day everyone! I hope you're all enjoying this day as much as I do 📚 I would recommend to anyone to read the whole lifestory of Joan of Arc written by the amazing author Kathryn Harrison (a woman I admire so much) it will mesmerize you.
