#KristenBell on last night’s episode of #CONAN #VeronicaMars (at Warner Bros Stage 15)
Symbols- Veronica Mars
Title:Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line
Author: Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham
Reason I had to Read: Because it’s Veronica Mars.
Plot: As Veronica begins to take over the family business while her dad recuperates from a car accident, she is given a case to find...
Color Code for Similar Actors
The UPN network was concerned that actors Teddy Dunn and Jason Dohring look too similar. To combat this, the network created a color code for each actor. Dunn, who played Duncan, always wore blue-colored clothing. Dohring, who played Logan, always...
An attempt to blog on tumblr. Today at #SDCC I was lucky enough to run into Brandon Hillock aka Deputy Sacks. A friend of mine was going nuts because she wanted a pic of someone walking nearby dressed as Jon Snow from Game of Thrones. I offered to take the picture. It dawned on me that Brandon loves SDCC and also cosplays as Jon Snow. I was 99% sure it was him…but what if it wasn’t? His costume was THAT good. So just to make sure I asked “is your name Brandon?” He said yes, and I verified “@FanBoyBrandon?” And he said yes. Then I started squealing (man, I am so bad at meeting people I admire). I think somewhere in my jumble of words I mentioned @NeptuneRising and thanked him for doing the #VMRewatch for the #VeronicaMarsMovie. He said he loved our group and wanted a hug. He said that he had just auditioned for Quest at the ABC panel and had gotten rated very highly. Of course! He is amazing! I hope he gets all the opportunities he wants in his career. He will definitely always have my support. I will always be so grateful to him for being Deputy Sacks. =D
We attended #SDCC 2014 and the #iZombie panel was on the top of our list of priorities there. If you want to know anything that might have been said that is #VeronicaMars related, we condensed it in this post. There are also key points that were mentioned about #iZombie at the bottom. Originally the pilot episode was going to be previewed twice at #SDCC: during the Wednesday preview night and during the panel. Because of recasting issues, it was not shown and instead we saw a 15 min preview during the panel. I was thrilled to see Daran Norris playing a role in the pilot episode as a weatherman. The 15 min clip was funny and entertaining and left me very eager to see the pilot. The cast had such great chemistry at the panel. We encourage all marshmallows to tune in (particularly live) when it premieres on the CW in the fall. Q: Rob why did you want Rose to be your zombie? Rob: She knocked this out of the audition. Diane: I had a really surface response to Rose. I said to Rob: "I'm getting a pool. We have a hit. This is going to be awesome." Rob: When we cast Veronica Mars I saw a hundred actresses. And Kristen Bell was the first actress in the room and I knew I had it. I knew it the whole time we were casting. We saw a hundred actresses for iZombie and Rose was 100. And we were freaking out. Diane: She walked in and Dan Ethridge and Danielle Stordyk stuck to her and stayed stuck to her until she agreed. Q: People seem very excited about iZombie being "Veronica Mars as a zombie". Would you like to encourage this belief or would you like to establish how it is different? Rob: I would encourage it. Diane and I have worked on a lot of stuff together. We have a similar aesthetic I think our shows are going to be dramas with a sense of humor. I think we're going to live in that world. People often put Veronica Mars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer together in a similar category but I would say that iZombie is closer to Buffy than to Veronica Mars. Q: Diane, you've written one episode so far but I know you're working on some more. What would you say is different in Liv's voice from Veronica's? Diane: I guess she's a little less snarky. She's still equally as funny but we also have a Noir aspect, the voice over that's different for Liv. Rob: Veronica had such a misanthropic view of the world that I don't think Liv does.. Q: I saw that there is a Veronica Mars alum (Daran Norris aka Cliff McCormack) in the pilot. Will we get to see other Veronica Mars and Party Down alum throughout the series? Rob: I imagine so. There are friends and people we go to and are comfortable with. There is actually one character 3 or 4 episodes in that we actual refer to by his real name and he's in Veronica Mars, so hopefully we will get him. I don't know if you noticed that Blaine's real name is Blaine DeBeers, much like Roman DeBeers from Party Down. So maybe Martin Starr shows up playing the brother of Blaine DeBeers. That may be on the agenda. The whole studio and network loved Daran Norris so much as the weatherman. They said "get him back in the show as soon as you can." So we have to figure out how to get back the weatherman. Q: Rob and Diane, you work a lot on shows that portray female characters really well. Is that why you gravitated towards this show? Rob: I'm glad we have a reputation for that. In this case the network came to us and told us they wanted the next strong female character. They wanted the next Buffy or Veronica. And I think this show does that very well. Diane: Prior to iZombie I had been developing for a few years. And every note I was getting back was "it's too female". It was great to have a network who was into it. iZombie background: •A difference between the comic book and tv show is that Liv works in a morgue instead of a cemetery. The change was made to supply her with new cases. •When Liv eats a brain, she gets flashes from the brains memory which help her solve their murders. She also takes on traits of that person, both positive and negative. She is never completely overtaken, she just picks up their talents and habits. Once Liv quits eating that brain she loses those traits. If she eats a new brain the new brain would take over and she would take on the new brains traits. But if she parts the brain out into little bits she would keep that persons traits and memories for as long as she is eating their brain. If she stops eating brains altogether she becomes dumber and more zombie like. •Rob wanted a zombie show that had some heart to it. He wanted to deliver on the zombie premise. There will always be zombie stuff in addition to the case Liv is working on. •Rob doesn't know where the "i" in the title "iZombie" came from, but it's directly from the comic book. •There are a lot of combined circumstances as to why Rose turned into a zombie the night of the boat party. There were a few people who made it off the boat that night and finding them will be a part of the mystery.

We here at loganandveronica are very excited to announce our first appreciation week! We’re setting it for July 16th to the 23rd, and we know, we’re announcing it super early, but this gives you time to prepare content weeks in advance! We would encourage everyone from giffers, writers, vidders, and whoever else would be interested to participate! We’re so excited to see what this talented fandom can do!
Our tracked tag for this is: “lvaw”
"I really enjoyed the fans because, you put so much into it when you’re on the set. When you have people who care about it in the same way we do…they’re just so excited and we were so excited to make it. So you can talk to them about it, and they know every episode back and forth. It’s such a wonderful atmosphere. You never really have a chance to have background extras who are super fans of the movie. It doesn’t really happen.” - Jason Dohring (X)
Join us on twitter TOMORROW 3pmPDT/6pmPDT to watch #ByTheFans the Veronica Mars movie documentary! Let's relive all the feels of getting our movie made marshmallows! Follow and tweet along with @NeptuneRising.

You may be wondering why we’ve been noticeably absent from the #VeronicaMarsS4onNetflix campaign. It’s not that we don’t support the movement, quite the contrary actually. We not only support the idea of Veronica Mars on Netflix, but support the idea of Veronica Mars on any and all possible mediums.
Our group of admins have dedicated countless time and energy to saving Veronica Mars and we have no intention on stopping any time soon. Some of us would rather see Veronica Mars back on network or cable television in abbreviated seasons (akin to Dr. Who) or as several mini-series such as Sherlock. Others are in support of a web series revival. Some enjoyed seeing it on the silver screen so much they’d prefer to stick with movies. However, one thing is certain; we will support any and all avenues that keep Veronica Mars moving forward (including books, graphic novels, etc). As such we would like to launch the #MoreVeronicaMars campaign. More Veronica Mars means not limiting our efforts to just one outlet or one medium, but being open to More Veronica Mars in whichever avenues present themselves.
Who wants to join us in advocating for #MoreVeronicaMars? Tweet @WBPictures, @WBHomeEnt & @WarnerBrosEnt for more movies. Tweet @Netflix, @Amazonvideo, @Hulu, and @CWSeed for a possible web series. Tweet @CWTV to bring Veronica Mars back to the television. Tweet @randomhouse and @VintageAnchor for more books. Feel free to tweet other options we haven’t thought of with #MoreVeronicaMars and tag us, so we can join.
For further explanation about why we chose #MoreVeronicaMars, read on…..
The caveat to #VeronicaMarsS4onNetflix is we’re not 100% convinced that Netflix is a viable option to continue Veronica’s story. Given the exclusive deal between Amazon and Warner Brothers for streaming rights to the series, and Amazon’s recent foray into original series hosting, it seems feasible (if not likely) that if Veronica Mars lives on in a web series it would be via Amazon and not Netflix. This is pure speculation on our part, but it seems like a logical assumption. There’s also the unknown of the CW Seed and what that could mean for Veronica Mars, aside from hosting Ryan’s Dick Casablancas spin-off.
Although most of us would love to see Veronica in a web series, there are a lot of legal and logistical problems that may prevent this from becoming a reality. As Kristen has mentioned, contract commitments prevent her, and most actors, from being the face of more than one concurrent television show. She is one of the faces of House of Lies and now Ryan is on Bad Teacher. If there aren't loopholes to get around these contract exclusions in a web series format, movies may be the way to go. Rob, Kristen, and Jason have all mentioned Veronica Mars living on in a movie franchise.
Marshmallows, we've been very fortunate. Right after we got the movie we fought so hard for, we were given #MoreVeronicaMars in the form of The Thousand Dollar Tan Line. We've enjoyed this book so much, we would welcome as many books as @RobThomas and @jgriffingraham would write! All that being said, we just want #MoreVeronicaMars!
