I may have not been there but data from other Soras reveal it wasn't...perfect. Too many people panicking, despair washing over the Voidship so thick even Enoshima wasn't enjoying it, and the fact we didn't know how it was going to go. We all assumed it was going to be like when a universe gets destroyed...but that was dashed aside when the NWPM people left forever...and their DTFA selves appeared shortly afterwards.
But we know now how a universe rebooting occurs and as such we are going to do this properly, it won't be a mess like the NWPM reboot is. The New Future people will know what is going to happen to them, and they will spend as long as they can making new memories and ensuring when their time is indeed up, it won't be faces full of despair and horror, but faces of hope and acceptance.
You might be wondering how the rebooted New Future people will reflect upon this, realizing there was another version of them that used to exist...but lives no more. Well I can answer that, because I live with that question every day of my life.
Living and surviving is hope. Every day you spend, is a day you can fill with memories and experiences, and shape who you are. Humans and Strong AI have free will, and with that free will you can decide what you can do. Nobody can tell you how to make your stay here, as the only people who can do that is yourself. How do you want to spend time on the Voidship until the reboot. That's a question you will explore throughout your stay and by the end of this, you will all have a answer, a answer unique to you.
I spend a long time wondering how much of me is myself and how much of myself is Akane Taira...and now I don't really care. Who I am or who I was doesn't matter, the point is I know who I am at the moment and that is the moment I choose to spend my existence. Don't confuse yourself what your rebooted selves will be like, the most important thing is you and how you choose to spend your time.
We put on this Remembrance Ceremony on so you can know that no matter what happens the Voidship won't forget you. Ever. Please keep that in mind.
*More claps and applause as Sora leaves the podium*
Why is addressing a big crowd so stressful how do politicians do it?
I guess they have the training and skills to do so.
I'm glad though Sora, you managed to keep the speech serious.
Its really not my style....but I have to stay professional...this is a important even after all.
*Finally The New Future Hajime approaches the podium*
...Guess its finally time for to speak then.
I won't lie to you all, I was...not in a good state when I got the news that our Universe was destroyed and even less so when we discovered it was a reboot and what was going to happen to us.
Even now I'm still nervous and unsure what's going to happen...and I'm not the only one feeling like this...all of you are as well.
But...I have a feeling we are going to be okay. The people here...have reassured me that we will all be taken in, given food...shelter...safety....and can decide what we are all going to do while we wait for Freeze to reboot our universe.
Its hard to tell what our world would be like, we only had one arc finished and the 2nd arc was in progress. Yes Freeze gave notes how it would end but...that still doesn't tell what our stories would have been. How we would have forged a new future...and how me and my class can walk away from Despair. Whenever that be Towa's Despair....or Chisa's Despair.
Maybe those stories will carry on in our new world, more polished and refined, maybe we will have new stories...it doesn't matter. The point is, we are here, we are alive and we can spend what time we have in making sure we have a good time.
I know you're all scared...I am too. I don't know what will happen when the universe gets rebooted, and how different our lives would be...or even if some of us still exist. But let's not focus on that, that's not immediate. Let's focus on the now, what we can do in the Voidship and the Ceremony that the good people here have put on for us so we can all come to terms with what's happened and what will happen.
Also let's be honest, its Freeze, we could be here for a few years know what his work speed is. Kodaka I hope I didn't jinx that by motivating him to work faster.
*There's some laughter in the crowd*
But in all seriousness, we aren't going anywhere for a while, so let's all come to terms with our situation together and forge a new future here.
*Lots of clapping and cheering from that as Hajime leaves the podium*
Was that corny? It sounded corny.
No that was good, it felt human...personal...didn't have the same cold detached words that your Kamakura persona gave.
Overall I think all these speeches went well!
*Review Anon re-approaches the podium*
Thank you to Kana, Sora and The New Future Hajime for those speeches.
Now as you all know, whenever a Universe gets destroyed or rebooted we always do a memorial to remember the fallen world...and The New Future is no exception.
Many people have been hard at work with this and now I say its time for me to reveal The New Future memorial!
*Review Anon lifts away the sheet to reveal the memorial to everyone.
There is various Roomba shaped entities that can be seen everywhere, symbolizing the Anons and how in that universe, they are therapy robots created by The Future Foundation. Kebi is also among them smiling and being happy, due to him being a important character as well as being the Anon's "cousin". There is statues of Makoto, Hajime, Reika, Kyosuke, Nagito, Hiyoko, Chisa, Miaya all in professional uniforms, all symbolizing how tough forging a new future really is. A lot of focus is placed on the Future Foundation since with the way the askblog ended, it was still within the Future Foundation arc*
Oh the bees sing their tunes and the wolves eat the salmon...its a fine display of our universe!
Well I got to say this is...acceptable for what our universe is like.
Awww the Anons look ssoooo cute, I wonder who worked the hardest on them?
You like them? It was thanks to the blessings of Atua I was able to complete them.
