An important message to the Fangan community

//You are no doubts aware of what's happened with Project's Eden Garden and how its now joined the long list of Fangans who fell before the Great Fanganronpa Filter.
//I am not talking about that though. At least not in detail. I'm waiting for the Lore Document to come first before I say anything on that note. The OFFICIAL Lore Document not the Obelusk version which got canned for a reason.
//However something has been brought to my attention that I decided it was required for me to make a post about it.

//By now everyone who's in the Fangan sphere should know what happened to Project Eden's Garden, but if you somehow are out of loop I will give a quick recap of events. Faza, the voice actor of Mark Berskii, was caught grooming a 15 year old girl to become his girlfriend, even though he himself was 20 at the time. These allegations were brought up in 2022, when Aji, the Voice Actor of Toshiko Kayura was made aware of this and tried to bring it up with the higher ups in PEG to try and get Faza dropped from the project. At the time there was a sprite leak of Cara, the dead character in the Prologue, and the PEG was more focused on that then the grooming allegations, as such Sozzay, the lead writer, Tak0 one of the co directors and various other members decided to cover up the whole thing and believe the allegations were just lies to cover up the sprite leak. Faza was kept on the team until the allegations came to light in 29th March 2026.
//This caused a domino of effects which led to PEG being cancelled and nether less to say most people are very bummed out by it, as this wasn't like Tetro which had a similar downfall back in 30th November 2025. Tetro, once the news of the rest of Tetro Blue came out, was revealed to start declining in writing quality and it became very clear that Von did not have the best motives for writing Tetro in the first place, plus everything imploded on one day. As such everyone could process what happened, acknowledge that Tetro was never going to be good and it being cancelled the way it was the best outcome. PEG on the other hand, HAD potential to be something special and amazing but it was ruined by the actions of a few bad apples. Not to mention it took WEEKS for the cancellation to come out and that agonizing wait was probably the worst part of it all. Not to mention the leaks which I have serious doubts were done in good faith as its not an coincidence this happened when pressure for Faza to get blacklisted started to mount and Sozzay and Tak0 tried to crawl back onto the internet space.

//However this post isn't about PEG, its about something else which has started to occur as a result of PEG imploding. We had not one but TWO high profile Fangans which have fallen due to controversy...and as a result a very unhealthy mindset is developing among people that its only a matter of time before another falls.
//A personal example of this is Dungeons & Despair. If you guys haven't heard about it, its a Fangan made by Creepercraftguy and Megacomet, and if that first name sounds familiar it should as its the same Creeper behind Survivor. Its a Fangan that takes place within the setting of Dungeons & Dragons and its looking to be quite the promising Fangan, and one I'm waiting with anticipation even though D&D is admittedly something I'm NOT used to. However on the social medias of Dungeons & Despair is people saying comments like "Hope this doesn't implode like PEG did" or "Nice Fangan, be a shame if controversy hit it" which suffice to say neither Megacomet nor Creeper are very happy about this as while it was unfortunate timing that the Dungeons & Despair Trailer came out on the same day as PEG got cancelled, it does NOT deserve to be marked with the same brush.
//And that's one example, bear in mind Dungeons & Despair is relatively new, if this is happening to a NEW Fangan, you can bet this is occurring to each and every other Fangan. Brave, Lockdown, Despair Time, Heartless Deceit, Code Red, Kill/Cure...the list goes on. The point is people have adopted this extremely unhealthy mindset that because 2 Fangans fell due to controversy, all other Fangans will follow suit which...not only is a frankly wrong mindset to have but also its extremely harmful.
//The first thing to note is Tetro's fall and PEG's fall occurred for different reasons. Tetro was the mind of a extremely disturbed individual who's on par with the creator of The Mistake and as I mentioned, it was only a matter of time before SOMEONE spoke out against them. In the case of PEG it was a toxic work environment and bad decisions made by those in charge. Because I've been speaking to people who have connections to the PEG cast and from what I heard, the PEG team was a complete mess and a very bad working environment so it was a house of cards that was going to fall. It just needed one push to fall and the Faza situation was sadly that one push. But that's the point, yes both Tetro and PEG fell apart but their causes were completely different and as such you can't assume every Fangan is going to be like this.
//However one thing I do say is the reason this keeps happening is because there isn't enough screening when people are brought onto a project. Yes I know its a passion project but when people get hired for jobs, background checks are required. Especially in a fanbase like Danganronpa because ANY fandom which has a mixture of minors and adults within it, you are going to get predators in there. This is a unfortunate fact and the most important thing you can do is ensure everyone is as safe as possible. I know some people don't WANT to screen everything a new member does as privacy is a right people have, but again screening I do think is what people should take more seriously if you are working with people. Or hell, hire someone who's in charge of PR so if something does go wrong and not just with controversies but if there's delays or even when promoting stuff, someone who has good communications skills can handle it and so fans won't feel like they are left out.
//And if allegations like grooming do occur, I will say that statistically people who make said allegations are more likely to tell the truth then they are to lie about it. I'm not saying people don't lie about this, but the data is more towards people who make these statements are being honest about it. Given how often society overlooks such crimes, it takes a lot of courage for someone to speak out about it. IF said allegations occur, drop whatever you are doing and investigate the matter thoroughly and if you find enough damning evidence, drop that person ASAP and make a public announcement about. Yes some people will get mad, that's the nature of the best, but I can assure you if Faza got fired WHEN the dev team heard of the allegations, the game would still be alive, as there would be some minor controversy but ultimately everyone would agree the team did the right thing and move on. But they didn't and that's why we have a dead Fangan.
//However please PLEASE don't use this as a stick to bash other Fangans who want nothing to do with these allegations. I know the wounds are still deep, and it will take time for them to heal but those who develop other Fangans just want to complete their games and they DON'T want to be dragged down just because a few Fangans blew up.
//Now while some who obviously have a massive chip against Fangans are just using this to their advantage, (Like that one Anon who moaned about PEG's writing BEFORE the Faza controversy hit and tried to use their points to justify that PEG was always going to be bad), others I believe are just worried but aren't wording their words correctly. Creeper and Megacomet already announced that when the VA deadline hits and they choose the VAs for their Fangan, they will do a background check on all public information about them, and if something problematic is flagged up once they get brought onto the project, that person will be dropped as soon as possible. That's just one example but I implore any Fangan creators who read this to also take this lesson to heed. There are bad people out there and for as much checks as we can do, they will slip through the net, but the real deciding factor is once we find out about them, how to deal with them in a way that respects the victims, and that should take priority above all else.
//Just be mindful of what you say and don't drag other Fangans into the messes of a few, and its only 2 Fangans who crashed and burned recently, it takes three to make a pattern after all. Its a dark time for the Fangan community but we will get through this. I'm sure of it.
