The careful way Aziraphale walks?

Some act like the idea of SamBucky is a new and radical twist when it was right there from the start, foreshadowed in the first movie Bucky was in, even before Sam himself appeared in the next one.

People out here like "but Bucky's epic love is the one with him until the end of the line!" like... to the end of the ticket-taking entry line at The World of Tomorrow, apparently? Like Bucky didn't spend the majority of his time in The First Avenger getting ditched by Steve during a time that was particularly callous on Steve's part (the last night before Bucky's deployment, paralleling the same thing happening on the other side of war in the future) but being more or less okay with it because while he loves Steve, Steve isn't his entire world and he was where he wanted to be in that moment, since his heart belongs to the dream of a future with technology that can make men fly and a someday where a guy like him might not have to bring two dames to a World of Tomorrow exhibit just to gaze at a hot guy with a flight kink in peace.

Ship whoever you want but you can't say that what's happened is a story deviation because it's plain-as-day foreshadowed and has been woven into the story since the beginning. The end of the story is the beginning of the story, with Steve and Bucky each where they want to be more than with one another-- Steve, in the past with the rules of the world that make sense to him; Bucky, in the future he never thought he'd get to see, in love with a man who can fly.

It's been destined since Chapter One.
