mysharona1987 :
Hilarious book dedications.
One of these days I’m going to perfect the Kale smoothie, and I’ll go down in history. I’m sure of it. And they say to speak the things you want so I’m just going to shout it out here into the interweb! I WILL PERFECT THE KALE SMOOTHIE!!!
“Perfect kale smoothie” sounds like an oxymoron no matter how loud you say it.
Well, I’m stupid. Spent last night and early this morning in urgent care because I had pretty severe heat exhaustion. I’m feeling better now, but still going to take the day off. I don’t think I’ve ever had an IV before, so that was fun. I even got to drink all the Gatorade I wanted.
But friends, please remember to stay hydrated. I will never let this water bottle leave my sight! Also, shoutout to my brother for looking out for me.
MY pleasure. Had a blast. We should do it again sometime.

Sorry to hear that. Oh, that sounds nice! I hope the pizza was good, and you didn’t lose your eyebrows at the bonfire?
My weekend was good. Pride stuff and all that. How was yours?
No. Apparently they didn’t know I hate pizza. That or it was just the ten thousandth cut to send me off with. Why? Have you lost your eyebrows at a bonfire before?
Same. Were you at the parade?
porcelain-hummel12 :
I’s not weird to miss them, I think. Maybe a proper end of the year party? Cupcakes, music, play some games with them- give them a great memory to remember you by. I remember the teachers who let us have end of the year parties & who didn’t.
& who knows, maybe you’ll see them all again one day.
Thanks. Those beady little eyes step on my heart I guess. I’ll see them again at their graduation in three years, but I don’t know if it will be the same when they don’t hate me anymore for giving them homework.
msnataliegrace :
There is nothing wrong with that! I am sure you would still be able to visit them too if you really wanted to. I would say go out to dinner or evening have a nice night in could be a good way to reward yourself for all your hard work.
I could—and I will—but it won’t be the same. I probably wouldn’t like them as much if I couldn’t give them detentions whenever they starting pissing me off. So do I go out or stay in? I can’t do both. Going out to dinner by myself sounds more like a swan song than a celebration.
jamsmythe :
I mean, to be fair, you’ve spent nine months with them? So….not really? Did you figure out how you’re celebrating?
You bring up a good point. My anxiety probably has less to do with my kids as it does with having my schedule interrupted. Which I hate. Well my second class ordered pizzas, and my brother Mac actually set up a small bonfire. I haven’t figured out what to do for myself though.
How was your weekend?
stellaweston :
Did you ever consider that maybe I just wanna eat cake and torture you?
It’s under review. And cake at a party? Didn’t I already tell you the place has a threshold for tackiness?
saylorbray :
Alcohol, that’s a great way to celebrate.
Yes, I'd love for you to buy me a drink. Thanks for asking.
poppy-moran :
Yes.
You wouldn’t say that to the card they made for me.
I am in serious need of a pool day this weekend. With a cold mimosa and a nice book to read while were at it. I could use it after the long shifts I have been pulling at the bar this week. If anyone wants to join me, the more the merrier.
Do you need to borrow a book? The library’s open.
macaroniabrams :
Dude. I’m so proud. Well, you know I have something planned for us to celebrate, anyway. Don’t worry, it’s just us.
You’re embarrassing is what. Oh really? What’s that supposed to be? Not another bouncy castle.
stellaweston :
It’d be more weird if you didn’t give a shit at all. We should have a party. Get cake and invite people over and everything.
Gross. Don’t get sentimental on me, please. It’s clearly telling kids to shut up that I’m going to miss the most. Why are you always itching to invite people over? Ooh—Maybe we could celebrate by changing the locks.
Tomorrow. My harrowing nine months of student teaching are finally over. I’ve been trying to figure out all week how I should celebrate, but I can’t decide on anything. Is it weird I might actually miss my kids?

I was yours once ‘till death if you’d cared to keep me, but I’m someone else’s now - I can’t hang about whining forever - and he’s mine in a way that shocks you, but why don’t you stop being shocked, and attend to your own happiness?
missvalentinalopez :
I’m a student with a part - time job. I can’t afford to waste money hiring a mover.
Is it a waste though? I wouldn’t gamble all my furniture on some of the people who live in this building. But warm welcomes.
Hola amigos! So, I just moved into this wonderful apartment complex but I’m having some trouble moving around my heavy furniture. I might be a strong-willed senorita but my physical abilities are limited, so if anyone would be willing to help a neighbour out then I’d be forever grateful. Muchas gracias. Oh, and I’m Valentina by the way.
Why didn’t you just hire a mover?
