Painted the units today. They look siiiiick!!
The units are in! Thanks owed to Lee at Dub Style Worcs for his hard work on these, he's done a crackin' job. Now to get them painted! :)
The bed is in and screwed together. Only one injury in the process, too. Winner! So chuffed to have the bed in place before Orkney.
The bed has arrived and is now in place (sort of!). Not screwed together fully yet so I can't fold it out. That's tomorrow's job.
Back lights changed now, too. Loving the learning I'm doing to do things like this. Everyday's a school day.
After the transformation...!! Clear indicators fitted by yours truly. Easy to do and they work. :D
Before the transformation...
The bed is here!
I've ordered a 3/4 rock and roll bed for Theodore. It's got light grey cushions and it's made of steel. It arrived today and just needs to be put together. So excited!
Theodore has some new windows!! Thanks to the staff at Rising Sun Campers in Coventry for all the help today. They did a great job. :)
Theodore the T4 is in the garage to have windows fitted today. Exciting times!
Table leg and two supports from eBay (£23) and the table top has come from an old set of office draws NIACE Charity were getting rid of. Excellent save and now Theodore has a table top!
Safety flooring (eBay £42) and carpet lining (eBay £70) completed - 9hrs worth of work in these photos! FYI Lino is not easy to cut - tough scissors required for easier work on this if you're doing it yourself. Spray adhesive for the floor is £7.99 a can at Homebase. Only one can needed. Spray adhesive for the carpet lining was included in the price of the carpet.
Ply lining was the next step. I ordered it from Plyline Northwest on eBay for £162 (182 w/delivery). It was cut to shape already and they mark on where it’s safe to drill. Thanks to Lisa and Neil for their help on this. Especially to Neil who taught me how to use a drill! Now I'm a pro. (RnR bed was sold after this was taken. It was for a T2.)
Next step was to insulate the panels to keep us warm in the winter months. Foil, double layered insulation taped down with a foil tape. All easy to fit and it cost £55 on eBay. Bargain!
Our first weekend with Theodore was spent gutting him from an old carpenter's van into a blank canvas (with a bit of dust!) ready to start. Thanks to Lisa and Nicky for their help on this!
This is Theodore the T4. He's an 800 Special 1.9TD engine with double cab seat. This is the van when I first got it back in February 2014.
