ok but have you considered… sukuna getting trapped in the cube, satoru coming to save him… carrying the cube home while grumling… working to fix it at his compound while yuji and everyone is freaked out like uhhh who is that guy hol up… sukuna just chilling in the cube, listening to satoru talk at him… ????

Omfg I love it! I was planning to work on my sukugo canon universe but Satoru is reincarnated from Heian era AU but this is way more fun!
Okay, so if this would be the Gojo clan is distanced from the jujutsu world AU, Satoru would refuse to get involved in this whole situation when Sukuna asked him but then when he learned that Sukuna got sealed (from Megumi or Yuta, bc Yuta would be there since he would never go to Africa), he would arrive at the Shibuya and clean up (obviously Kenjaku and the disaster curses didn’t prepare for that) and then take Prison Realm and try to release Sukuna. He would grumble and sigh and mock Sukuna but deep down he would feel guilty and worried. Megumi and Yuta would hover over Satoru because Sukuna is their friend and Satoru would be done with life at this point. The moment Sukuna would be free, Satoru would tease him but then offer to spar with him. And then he would get involved more in the jujutsu society, occasionally going on high level missions to make it easier for Sukuna.
If this was isolated Gojo clan AU, Satoru would decide to join the fight but it would be too late and Sukuna would get sealed. At first other sorcerers would be shocked and confused why THE Gojo Satoru was here. Satoru would be cold, barely say anything unless the kids addressed him. He would immediately recognise Megumi as the Zenin kid and so Megumi would tell him that Sukuna was sealed. Satoru, feeling guilty for letting this situation happen, goes and deals with Kenjaku and the disaster curses and then gets the Prison Realm. He would teleport back to the Gojo estate and obviously the others would freak out because Sukuna was gone. Megumi would be the one to find exactly where Satoru was living and with his classmates, he would go to the Gojo clan. Before the clan members would dismiss them, Satoru would teleport to meet them and after a little of banter (because no matter how much he hates jujutsu society, he knows those kids are innocent), he would take them to his house where the Prison Realm was. Satoru would explain what he was doing and would continue talking to Sukuna inside the Prison Realm, grumbling and teasing him. Of course Megumi and the rest sort of adopt Satoru and suddenly they come to see Satoru every day, even when Sukuna is freed.
Thank you for the ask! I love thinking of different scenarios, it’s always so interesting and fun! I can imagine this story as a group of interconnected one shots because writing it this way would let me just play with the characters and the AU without worrying about posting schedule or how the chapters work with each other.
